CSULA ABSN Summer 2021

Published

Hi Everyone!

This is a forum for CSULA's Accelerated BSN program starting June (Summer) 2021.

Applications just opened & are due in January. I was surprised that there wasn't a forum already created so thought I’d create one so we can keep each other updated ?

Thank you for making this! Excited/nervous for this process!!

@Mil14 I'm surprised not many people have been responding in this thread - seems like just me and you so far! haha

Me too, especially considering the application is due pretty soon! How are you feeling about everything?

@Mil14 yup! I submitted my app already so now just waiting ? how about yourself? are you applying to any other schools?

It must feel good to have it all done! I'm waiting on my fall grades to be posted before I mail the app. I wasn't able to get any volunteer experience thanks to covid so I'm hoping that my TEAS and GPA will make up for it. Fingers crossed! And yes, I'm also applying to CSULB, CSUF, and CSUSM.

I'm lurking in here LOL!

Did you have the people who wrote you letters of recommendation mail them straight to CSULA, or did you have them send them to you and mail one big application packet yourself?

Good luck on the TEAS!! For letters of recommendation, as far as I know we are supposed to include them in the packet that we send ourselves. Seemed a little weird to me but oh well haha

Good luck as well ? For LORs, I also had them send it to me in an  envelope and then included them in my big application packet.

Seems like you have a great chance of getting in, and good luck on the TEAS!

my stats are:

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0 (assuming I don't bomb any finals this week haha)

Undergrad GPA: 3.89

TEAS: 97%

Healthcare work: newborn hearing screener

Volunteer: none due to COVID

Yours looks awesome too!  I am wondering what yours strategies for the TEAS were?  Your score is awesome!
