  1. I got my official offer from St. Joes (Orange) today and it's unfortunately the same as St. Jude ($36/hr). Not sure why the two St. Joe's have such drastically different start rates but I am super excited nonetheless!
  2. Hi! Still waiting on formal offer too, but my friend who started this program last year at St. Joe's was offered $36/hour with $4 night differential...hopefully it went up a little with inflation!
  3. I am also still waiting on an official offer from St. Joe's after getting a verbal offer from my unit last Monday. Hoping they come in the next day or so, because I rejected another job offer last week after I got the call from St. Joes! ? My portal still says "under consideration" too...I'm hoping they are just moving slow and it will all work out this week!
  4. Congrats!! Did you get the official offer email from HR? I got a verbal offer from my specific unit at St. Joe's on Monday, but haven't received anything official.
  5. As @Rominha said according to past statistics I think you have a great shot! San Marcos keeps applications on file for a year and applicants are supposedly considered for all cohorts. So technically it's not even like you're applying a second time around, just being considered for the next cohort (which doesn't lower your chances at all if that's what you were asking). Hopefully you'll get some good news soon!
  6. Thank you! I had 50 points (97.3 TEAS, 4.0 prereqs, and 3.95 last 60 units). Also to answer another question, I believe that they used to do interviews for the ABSN program but now they no longer do! I went to San Marcos for undergrad and they really do have a great nursing program! Fingers crossed for everyone?
  7. Thank you! I applied for Fall of 2021 but was offered a seat for the Summer cohort because I guess some spots opened up.
  8. Hey guys! I just got offered a spot for Summer 2021. I already accepted a seat at another school so I won't be taking it. Hope everyone hears back soon and I wish you all the best of luck!!
  9. Great, thank you for letting me know!
  10. Hi! Where did you upload proof of immunization? I haven't gotten any emails besides the initial acceptance so I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
  11. Thank you so much for your response! I'm leaning the most towards this school, but just trying to be as informed as possible before making this huge decision. You definitely made me feel better about it?
  12. I had to do some digging to find it again LOL but its on page 14! It says "Because the campus is a tax-supported institution with limited resources, the school cannot guarantee any student the availability of needed/desired course/courses at any given semester." That would be great if you could ask your friend if this is ever actually an issue or just something that they have to write in the handbook. There's not much info online as to what the program is actually like, so it would be great to hear from someone actually in it(:
  13. Congrats to everyone who's been accepted and good luck to those of you still waiting!! I was wondering if anybody knows if this program is strictly 15 months or if that's just like best case scenario? I was nerding out and reading the nursing handbook, which said that nursing students are not guaranteed a spot in the classes listed on the ABSN roadmap which made me nervous. I would hate to have to tag on extra months to this program if I'm not able to register for a class that I need. If anyone has any insight that would be great!
  14. Oh wow just got an email with an acceptance letter! Anyone else?!
  15. Unfortunately not. I emailed [email protected] (the email address that admissions originally gave me to contact the SON) and never heard back. Not sure how to feel at this point haha
