straight pay is pretty much the norm in hospitals - it’s because of it being considered an “alternative work week” since our week consists of 3 x 12 hr days which constitutes 36 hrs vs the normal 40. ?

Agree! I know St. Joe would be an amazing hospital to grow my experience and knowledge but my heart feels strongly for L&D. It is at Loma Linda Children's ? wonderful hospital as well!

Still considering. I got an offer from a Maternity Unit elsewhere; however, St. Joe is really close to my family and I haven't been able to be around them for a long time. So many factors to consider! What is your take on it? I'm super torn.

Hi all! Been lurking here and it has been so comforting to have people going through the same thing! I interviewed with Mission and St. Joe's. At the time I interviewed with Mission, there was no option for Obstetrics! My top 3 for St. Joe was L&D, Postpartum, & Oncology. But I got a call on Monday saying that L&D/Postpartum were full but the CNO wanted to open more positions. I got the offer discussion for telemetry, but as to which tele unit - it was not specified. Just wanted to share my experience and good luck to all!
