Crocs are definitely worth $40. The knockoffs are not worth $10. There really is a difference. With Crocs I can go 12 hours without pain...3 days in a row!:monkeydance:

Is there anyone here that is overweight that wears crocs for long periods of time? I am just wondering how they hold up then? Also, how long do they seem to last?

I believe the recommendation by Crocs themselves is to replace your shoes twice a year if you work full-time. At $30-40 a pair, this isn't unreasonable.

I've had mine for over six months now, and they're holding up just fine. I am overweight as well. You can see where they're wearing more on the soles, but they are by no means falling apart. They're still comfortable, still look and smell new. I'm replacing mine just because I want to try the new "relief" ones that have better support. I'm going to bring my old ones home, sanitize them, and wear them around the house and outside.

I've had one pair for over 3 years! (black-no holes) Let me tell you, they age well. When I put my originals on, my feet just fit right in!

I don't where them as I am a man. I have heard nothing but good things about them. The one thing to be careful with is that dress protocol in hospitals often calls for a full heal and closed toe... Crocs often don't have these features.

There are several male employees at the hospital I work at that wear them. I saw a male anesthesiologist in crocs of two different colors a few months ago- one was orange, one was green. ;) I know of non-healthcare workers who are men that wear them, also.

I just saw some in the LL Bean Catalog, Coastal Clogs (fabulous colors) for $ 19.50.

I have the Aspen style (all closed). They get a too hot so I am looking for ones with holes. I just figured out today that my orthotic for PF fits in them. I will try them out the next few weeks to see how I feel with them and the orthotics in.

I live in Denver and of course ahd to have them when they hit the market. the first pair i bought were the beach style, holes in the top. they are great i still wear them around the yard. the second pair, without holes for work reasons, not good. I have plantar fascitis , directly due to the shoe. hope this helps. oh they are very slippery on may surfaces, dont let any one fool ya. also if you are in the habit of slightly dragging your feet, they will through you down......to be honost.

I want to order a pair of these shoes. I wear a 9.5 shoe and wonder, should I order a size 9? Are these shoes really wide? I want to order the white ones too but don't want them to look dirty.

You might want to consider ordering a 10. I wear 8 1/2 and an 8 was too small, but 9 was good.
