Croc shoes Worth it? Or forget it??

Published

Okay so Im thinking of buying crocs for work. I have them to wear to the pool:cool: but I work 12 hour shifts and I have been hearing so much about them. So who has them and what do you think???:yelclap: Worth it ?????? or :angryfire Forget it?? Please post your thoughts so I could make a final decision. Thanks so much.

I too have plantar fasciatis, but was told by doctor that the crocs don't offer enough arch support. So I stopped wearing them but I am going back to crocks because they cusion my heel so well they don't hurt. I pulled 16 hour shift with no problem to my feet while wearing the crocs. I love them.

Crocs has a new style out that is made specifically for conditions like plantar faciatis. I'm ordering a pair today!

Still only $39.99!

The original ones with the holes on top are $25-30 and the ones with the solid top are $40. These new ones aren't any pricier. Good deal!

Kind of stupid question... do you wear socks with the crocs?

You don't have to, but yes you can.

I work in the ER and will likely never buy anything else unless they stopped making them. I also bought the ones with no holes on top, with side vents. Watch out for the tendancy for the toe of the shoe to "grab" the floor when you are first getting used to them. No more foot pain at all!!!!!!!

They make this stuff called Croc Butter that's supposed to make them look good as new. Not sure what it's made ouot of those. Alcohol and 4 x 4's clean them up in no time.

I don't generally wear socks with them at home, but do at work. I think somewhere in our dress code is something about wearing socks. There is alot of other outdated things but socks, I feel like that's a added proctection from germs and other things!

Wearing mine without socks, my feet will sweat on the bottom, and my foot slides around.

I was also wondering about the crocs. Where I work, we can wear any color we want so I thought about getting a pair or two, even if it's the knockoff kind. I have a pair of "anywear" clogs and a pair of Birkenstock clogs. They are both okay but I need to be comfortable the entire time that I'm in my shoes. I thought about getting the kids some of the crocs. we shall see.

They do make crocs in white - I have a pair. I recently changed jobs but prior to that worked 12 hrs logging over 5 miles per day on my pedometer. I started out with Danskos but they wore out in about 10 mos. At $115 per pair, that can be expensive. Crocs cost $29.99 for the ones with the holes or $39.99 without the holes. I have found the Crocs to be the greatest shoe ever and would wear no other shoe if I could get away with it.
