Okay so Im thinking of buying crocs for work. I have them to wear to the pool:cool: but I work 12 hour shifts and I have been hearing so much about them. So who has them and what do you think???:yelclap: Worth it ?????? or :angryfire Forget it?? Please post your thoughts so I could make a final decision. Thanks so much.

According to the website, you want them larger than you normally wear a pair of shoes.Your feet are not supposed to hit the ends or sides. I haveone pair that are a bit snug & when it's hot I can only wear them as clogs as the strap makes them too tight if my feet swell.

By the way, I have wondered if the knockoffs were as good & my Target ones are comfortable but definately not Crocs. I also bought a pair of Crocs without the holes. I hate them. It's too warm to wear socks but without them my feet really sweat. They squeak when your feet sweat!

I wear the Crocs too, wish they came in White without the holes though.

By the way, Don't leave 'em in a hot car, they will shrink.

I left mine in the car at the airport in the heat and when I got back, tried to put them on and they had shrunk a WHOLE SIZE,,,lol

Gave those to my mom,,,she loves em too.

Oh okay, I was wondering because I read some people say they ran large.

Maybe that was the knock-off brands?

Oh no! I just bought a pair of those in black to wear as clogs with regular clothes. I planned to wait and wear them in the fall and winter (I live in the frigid Midwest). Do you think that would be an okay time to wear them? I didn't want the ones with the holes in case it was wet outside or cold/windy.

You'll still like them, I bet. I plan to wear mine once it gets cooler & probably with socks when it's actually cold. And that won't be long, I fear as I also am in the Midwest. Iowa to be exact. But it's close to 100 again today. Wearing my Niles (the cute sandals) today.

Oh, by the way, Crocs are coming out with MaryJanes this fall.

I'm so excited about the Mary Janes!!! I'm gonna have to get a pair, for sure. Are there pictures somewhere?

Okay, good about wearing them in the cold. I have them in the closet until, oh, October or so. I figured if I was outside they'd keep my feet warm, and if I was inside, I could always slip them off from time to time if I got hot. I always wear them with socks - I am not a bare-foot kind of a girl. It's killing me these days in Chicagoland - it's been in the 90's for a week - to have to wear sandals!

i have some 'knockoffs' and they are comfortable..i have gout and they are easy on the toes

i have seen a lot of men wearing them usually in black or navy

i am going to check into the relief before they are out of style and you can't get any

Im the one who started this thread, so I feel compelled to inform everyone that the "pearl white" crocs professional shoes really are not a true white. Has anyone else encountered this????? I am trying to wear them at work and hopefully my facility wont say anything since they have a policy about white shoes. I luv, luv, luv them so far I will keep you all informed. Thanks for all the great replies.;) :trout:

Do you mean Aspen - the totally closed toe clog, or the Athens - which is a thong sandal?

If you mean the Aspen, I'd say NO for work - your feet will sweat!!! You need those vent holes on the sides for airflow. The classic Crocs with the holes on the top should be outlawed in hospitals, in my opinion. The Professional ones, with the closed tops but side vents, have a special ridge around the side vents that the classic ones don't have - it diverts falling fluid away from the holes and onto the ground so even if something drips on you it won't get onto your socks.

I'd go with the Professional ones for work. I'm actually ordering the new Relief ones, though - they look just like the Professional but have a bit more support for those of us with bad feet and arches.

And yes, the Pearl colored Crocs aren't exactly white, but more of a very light gray. Many of us have them at work and unless you're wearing them with stark white pants - they look just fine and can pass for white if that is what your hospital requires.
