Okay so Im thinking of buying crocs for work. I have them to wear to the pool:cool: but I work 12 hour shifts and I have been hearing so much about them. So who has them and what do you think???:yelclap: Worth it ?????? or :angryfire Forget it?? Please post your thoughts so I could make a final decision. Thanks so much.
Other than BIG socks, does anyone know of a type of Crocs (any knock-off brand) that are not so wide?? I wear a sz. 7.5 or 8 AAA and my one pair of croc-like shoes from payless (not the clog style, but one with a back strap) are fine for knocking around in when it's cold and I can wear a pair of huge thermal socks, but it's about 100 degrees in Denver right now and that's no good
I've asked the croc people at the kiosk at the mall (where I rarely go!) and they just said, "No, we don't have anything for people with such skinny feet." How sad my butt and belly aren't in proportion with my feet...

Darlanow,
I found this on the crocs website:
"the cayman is a sleek and slender version of the beach™ and comes in full sizes and kids sizes, too."
I don't know how much skinnier the shoe is but thought I'd point it out to you.
I haven't posted on allnurses before, I've been reading for quite a while now. I find it funny that I felt compelled to post about crocs! I was getting ready to spring for some new Birkenstocks when a nurse suggested crocs. I checked them out and figured that I would give them a try since they were cheaper than the tennis shoes I kept buying and replacing. I LOVE MY CROCS! They are even better than the Birks I used to have. They are light weight and my knees no longer hurt even after 2 12's on the weekends. I was looking into the other styles as well. My husband said they were the ugliest shoes he'd ever seen. I told him for shoes that saved us $80 they should look beautiful to him!

Another skinny-footed person here. The crocs are HUGE!

I bought the generic brand of Crocs at Payless Shoe Source. They're very comfortable. I bought mine for 14.99, got another pair half off! So I have 4 pairs. They seem as good as Crocs.

I don't know how I would've made it through my last six months of floor nursing if I hadn't discovered Crocs. Now I wear nothing else, even though I'm in management and don't have to spend eight or 12 hours on my feet. They can be dressed up or down---they even have the sandal type that can be worn with skirts or dress slacks---and they come in every color of the rainbow (and then some). I even wear 'em in the winter, I just put on a nice pair of thick socks and try to stay out of puddles.
