Hello,
I'm new to this site but am finding it really useful! I'm canadian but did my nursing degree in the UK, and I currently practicing in England. I'm due to sit the CRNE on the 7th October and have read some scary posts on its level of difficulty. I have the study guides and will continue to study for the next 8 weeks until I fly over to toronto to sit it. I'm extremely nervous....anybody got any further pointers for me????
I can't wait for my family to start our life in Canada pending me passing this exam (so no pressure Eh!)......and a new job in toronto would be great!!!!!
Good luck to all of those that are sitting it the same day as me!
Thanks yabs!! Yea I did take the CRNE here in Vancouver. The exam was quiet draining at the end of the day. I feel like I have increased intracranial pressure afterwards. Not trying to scare you but that's the reality.Best of luck!
In my opinion the exam is too long. At a certain point the brain just shuts down as it can't focus on any more questions....and I work Neuro and understand your comment about intracranial pressure...would be an interesting study. I wrote in BC but have not received my results yet...are the passers the first ones to receive results...yikes!!!!
Excuse me, but this thread was started on August 9, a full month before the exam date. The ORIGINAL topic of the thread was pointers on improving one's chances of success when writing the exam."I'm due to sit the CRNE on the 7th October and have read some scary posts on its level of difficulty. It has only morphed into a discussion about results in the last few days as people have begun obsessing about when they're going to find out if they passed or failed... as ALL of these threads eventually do. I know this because every single post to this forum lands in my inbox.
As for your question, your status on the College website will only change after you've paid your registration fee, and until you know the results of your exam, you can't do that. Right now, your status is "pending".
First...my mistake to follow this topic but I've seen a lot of people like me waiting for the results and that's the reason I was following the discussion for!
second....I can tell you that my status in not "pending" right now because I've just got a temporary license and I work as a GN. Maybe YOUR status is "pending". Keep in mind that the situation might be different in other provinces than yours. And to give you more information I can show you my status as follow:

I don't understand why it's a mistake to follow this topic if you want to find out who got their result. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that.
Sorry to contradict you georgya3 but janfrn is a staff member of allnurses.com and I agree with what she has told you. Janfrn definitely knew what she was talking about. This thread was started 2 months before the October exam and was not started to talk about the CRNE results. Just like what janfrn has said, this thread is now talking about results because everyone here wants to know if they passed or failed. So really, it's not appropriate to ask people to keep the topic on the "CRNE results".

And I suggest that you learn to read all information about posters fully before jumping to conclusions.
Here and at work. Peoples lives are at stake there and the ability to understand all the facts is important.
Ontario is always such a pain for the results :) just have a look at previous threads. I hope we'll start getting them by Nov 17-19 (just hoping).
Sheng31, don't forget to post your result: I'll receive mine a day after you get yours, lol.
Congrats to all passers.
And yeah, most CRNE threads develop like this:
1-Tips and books
2-Well wishing
3-OMG, the exam was so bad/long/horrible/WT*
4-Nail biting waiting for the results
5-Laughters and tears (plus more nail biting from the Ontario people, lol)
6-A few more tips/strategies that worked or didn't
7-Janfrn puts the thread to bed.
