CRNE 7th october

World Canada CRNE

Published

Hello,

I'm new to this site but am finding it really useful! I'm canadian but did my nursing degree in the UK, and I currently practicing in England. I'm due to sit the CRNE on the 7th October and have read some scary posts on its level of difficulty. I have the study guides and will continue to study for the next 8 weeks until I fly over to toronto to sit it. I'm extremely nervous....anybody got any further pointers for me????

I can't wait for my family to start our life in Canada pending me passing this exam (so no pressure Eh!)......and a new job in toronto would be great!!!!!

Good luck to all of those that are sitting it the same day as me!:nurse:

Hello KingCarlos and Dishes,

I was working with a temp license and failed the CRNE the first time in June and had my temp revoked. Oct was my second attempt and passed. Now my employer will now allow me to return to work until I have the hard copy of the license EVEN THOUGH I have a letter from CNO stating that I can return to work.

So now I am stuck not being able to get back to work and not able to find any other hospital who is hiring. Very frustrated. Hence why I asked how long it takes to get the hard copy in the mail.

Do not worry I am in your same boat too. I wrote the exam in June and I failed also, but thank God I passed in Oct. Unfortunately I lost my Temp License too. Do not worry, your letter will come in the mail soon. Most hospitals are hiring now only for January 2010. So my advice to you is relax and enjoy the holidays, come January you'll be back in the hospital setting. As far as hospitals who are not hiring, hang in there and be persistent. I'm being extra annoying and calling HR on a constant basis to get an interview, after a while they will give in...!
