Okay, so this has the potential to sound very strange. I have noticed that at work the past couple months when a co-worker slips their mask down for a moment to take a drink, eat, readjust the mask, etc. That from the nose they just look strange almost deformed and it seems to be with all of them even the folks I knew before the pandemic their faces just look off.

I figures it's just becoming so ingrained to see the masks that seeing a full face is disarming. Is anyone else experiencing this? I really hope someone is that I'm not having a COVID psychotic break ?

I haven’ worn makeup since March when we had to start wearing masks at work all day. I quit even doing eye makeup when we had to start wearing goggles/face shields. Since I work in an office, pts have to wear a mask but we check temp orally, so I’ll have pts in the exam room and ask them to pull their mask down so I can check their temp and it’s startling how their bottom half doesn’t match their top half of their face. You see these really pretty eyes, then the buck teeth and large nose. Or you see a smooth forehead and neat eyebrows then get to see the wrinkled mouth and chin hairs.

Another element I have to deal with is my son is at basic training for the Army. I can see pictures online from his base but they’re grouped by infantry so I get to scroll through a hundred pictures to find a glimpse of him. Everybody has the same clothes, same haircut, and now the same masks on, so I’m literally looking just for his eyes or a certain freckle on his neck. THAT’S hard to do. LOL. I’m just thankful they share those pictures.
