Okay, so this has the potential to sound very strange. I have noticed that at work the past couple months when a co-worker slips their mask down for a moment to take a drink, eat, readjust the mask, etc. That from the nose they just look strange almost deformed and it seems to be with all of them even the folks I knew before the pandemic their faces just look off.

I figures it's just becoming so ingrained to see the masks that seeing a full face is disarming. Is anyone else experiencing this? I really hope someone is that I'm not having a COVID psychotic break ?

I don’t think you’re crazy. The tip of my nose is pushed down from where it used to be and I have a permanent dent on the bridge.  It’s obvious in pictures. Hope it goes back to normal. ?

Now that you mention it, my ears are starting to stick out more because the strings on ours masks are so tight on my head.

We're all going to look like monsters when this thing is over with ??

Haha, I can relate, I get outbreaks of seb. dermatitis around my mouth and nose, the red blotches always bothered me, now I don't have to worry!

You seriously think masks are going to go away?

I seriously doubt it. I'm pretty sure they are here to stay. I believe the germaphobe takeover is complete.

No emergent that cannot be... the type of N95 that I'm fitted for is absolutely the most uncomfortable mask I have ever worn and I don't think it is the correct mask for me because I still got COVID despite doing what I was supposed to, and I don't go anywhere but from my bedroom to work so I know I didn't get it in the community.

If they're here to stay I'm gonna have to get some fat sucked out of my face so I can get fitted for a different type of N95 ?

Interesting. I, on the other hand, am always fidgeting with my mask, have definitely not worn them in public when allowable. I'm only wearing surgical masks, I've decided, I just can't tolerate any more than that. This mask thing is pushing me towards an earlier retirement then I had planned. I look forward to contributing to the nursing shortage.

I have been tested twice, and as far as I know I haven't had covid. I'm not really afraid of covid for myself, but I'm mostly doing my part to help out with the situation for the unhealthy people.

I think that the Swedish approach is the best and most sensible approach. I am so sick of the overbearing, neurotic governor of my state. I don't mind staying away from other people because I'm not a real sociable person. But, I have had it with this whole thing.

I think most are feeling the pandemic fatigue. The surgical masks aren't bad, it's just when I'm on covid units having to wear that dang N95, ugh. I know we've lost a lot of nurses since this mess started, and I can't blame anyone for hitting the road, we all ultimately have to look out for ourselves.

I just hate that in my state everything closes at 10pm now, and since I'm a vampire I can't get any of my shopping or errands done, or get a bite to eat in the middle of the night! First world problems right.
