So I guess it was bound to happen but I tested positive for COVID 19. I am triple vaxxed and based on symptoms assume omicron varient. It started as a sore throat and progressed elevated temp, muscle aches and digestive discomfort with general lethargy. I’ve been off since last Wednesday and will be back at work come Friday as long as I have no fever

Hopefully you will recover without incident. We all should be prepared for infection. This virus is pretty contagious. What is the R factor of omicron? 4ish?
I'm looking forward to nice weather in Alaska again so that we can socialize outside.

Although it has nothing to do with COVID I think the biggest blow has been the dog dying on New Years day. We were expecting it but it was still a rough day. Now I have a very lonely little rescue dog that whines for her friend. I wasn’t going to get another dog but I might have to.

Awww I am so sorry. That is a blow. I lost my retrievers 2 months apart last year. It was awful. Maybe you could get a new friend for the lonely pup once you're feeling better.
I am sorry about your loss. So tough. One of our rescues got diagnosed with glaucoma of all things the day after that. Now we are facing removal of one eye with the other to follow most likely in the next year. New territory for us having a blind dog.

Haveyou taken your dog to a Canine Ocular specialist? There may be more options that amputating the eyes.

Sorry your 2022 isn't getting off to the start you would have wanted! Hope your covid experience is mild symptoms and complete recovery. Sorry for you, and your lonely dog, that you lost your other dog recently. Always such a touch time when we lose our furry family members. Take care!
Happyg,
Yea we are. In fact we have another appointment today. He did talk about possible laser surgery, but felt the pressure was too high.
