So I guess it was bound to happen but I tested positive for COVID 19. I am triple vaxxed and based on symptoms assume omicron varient. It started as a sore throat and progressed elevated temp, muscle aches and digestive discomfort with general lethargy. I’ve been off since last Wednesday and will be back at work come Friday as long as I have no fever

Well I got a new dog that was scheduled for euthanasia. I honestly didn't plan on getting another dog but this one sort of fell into my lap. When I asked the folks at the pound why the previous owner turned her in they stated she was to large and rambunctious. Well she is still a puppy and her liniage German shepherd and Belgian shepherd makes for an active dog that needs a lot of owner contact. Also she gets along with the other dog.

Back to the topic!

That is a BEAUTIFUL dog! And sometimes the fell in your lap scenario works out best. I'm sure that she is grateful you rescued her and will be happy with you for many years. And who better to snuggle up with while you're recovering from the VID?

BEAUTIFUL dog. How are you feeling these days? I hope your COVID symptoms are not too severe or have abated.....

My Covid symptoms were actually pretty benign which I attribute to being fully vaccinated with a booster. I had a sore throat mild fever and felt generally very tired. My physician gave me 10 days off work and refused to release me back at 5 days (New CDC recommendation) due to documented co-morbid conditions.

I actually went back to work yesterday.

I took the dog out this morning for some leash and collar work to see what kind of training she wight have had. She seems pretty eager to please: Knows sit/stay/come and off commands so we are off to a good start. I am planning to make her an institutional therapy dog which I think she will love.

After last Friday appt. it looks like we will do both eyes at the same time. Enoculation with prosthesis for the glaucoma eye and laser surgery to try to prevent/delay onset of the glaucoma in the other eye.

Your new rescue is gorgeous.

❤️  Me, too, and similar symptoms.  Tripple vaxxed and had moderate case Oct 2020.  Took a while to get a positive test.  Symptoms started on Sunday. Rapid and PCR tests negative on Monday. Thursday repeat rapid neg but PCR positive (didn’t get result until Saturday).

Half my clinic staff is infected.  This omicron is no joke.

Hope you and your coworkers are feeling recovered soon.
