Congratulations Mary (aka tnbutterfly) Our new Community Manager!

We are expanding our team to help keep up with the growth and increased membership. We recently hired Mary as Community Manager. Mary, known as tnbutterfly in our community, has been a part of allnurses since 2006. She has been an RN for more than 35 years and has experience in Pediatrics, Med-Surg, Disaster Nursing, Home Health, Psychiatric Nursing, Education, and Parish Nursing.

As Community Manager, Mary will act as liaison and voice for the community. She will be part of a growing team whose job is to develop and implement the visions of the site owner and management team.

As we continue to grow, we want to maintain a close connection to our members. The Community Manager will ensure that we don't miss a thing. We continue to value the voice of our community, and Mary will see all your comments, concerns, and suggestions submitted to the Help Desk.

Community Manager functions:

  1. Manager of Forum Staff and Guides
  2. Training Staff and Guides
  3. Nurturing and Engaging Staff, Guides, and Members
  4. Advocate and Liaison for Staff, Guides, and Members
  5. Support for Staff, Guides, and Members
  6. Help identify trends for research and marketing (internally and externally)
  7. Interface with Marketing and PR teams to represent an informed voice from the community

Yes, class has already started for me........my brain is hurting......I think it is growing pains. Parts of my brain are getting a real workout. But it is exciting....... Trying to keep up with Brian and all of his fantastic ideas is like aerobic AN.

I just can't believe how much Allnurses has matured in the years since I joined. We went through a lot of growing pains during the years I was a moderator and for some time afterwards, but it seems like AN just keeps picking up more and more steam as the membership continues to grow (quite unlike most of the competition ;)). And I for one am happy to see this newest change, not only because we've grown up so much as a community but because I can't think of anyone better suited to the position than my friend and mentor, Mary. :up:
