Would anyone like to share what kind of shoes you prefer? Clogs or tennis shoes?

Can you give recommendations on what kind of shoes you have found to be the most comfortable?

Moved to allnurses Nursing Scrubs / Uniforms / Gear forum --see the numerous advice posts here.

Some facilities do not permit Danskos --so might want to check dress code first.

I'm a New Balance supporter -3 in my family swear by them.

I wear Reebok Nano 4.0. They are extremely comfortable.

Dansko makes athletic shoes, I just got a pair. My old favorite was Orthaheel. I've had a hard time finding supportive athletic shoes recently.

I wish this were an easy question! I tried on the Dansko clogs but they were too low for the bridge of my foot and had such a heel on them. I can't understand wanting to work in a 2 inch rise? Maybe it's just because I am already tall. I also tried the Crocs Mercy but was between sizes. I ended up just wearing a pair of Nike running shoes. Now in my program I have to have non-porous white shoes! So I ordered a pair of "Dawgs" which may or may not work for me, I'll have to see.

I like Sanita clogs (similar to Danskos but fit my feet better), but the thing that helps my feet the most are compression socks!

If you can stand a heel, then you will LOVE Klogs. It really is spelled Klogs with a "K," they are not hard like Danskos. If you don't like a heel, they do make low profile ones too. My personal faves right now are actually Sketchers Go Walk 3. I walk in these 30 hours a week and never notice my feet anymore.

I never get sick of this question, though, because then I get to talk about how amazing DANSKOS are! I have a "thing" for them, I really do.

Ditto!!! I love them!! I had 2 pairs of solid white through school! They feel like comfy slippers now!!

Yup! I had to start wearing compression socks when I was working full time!! I love them now!!! I buy ones with cute designs!!
