Hello All,
I am new to this site, I have been a CNA for 7 yrs. I have a B.S. degree in Bio-Medical Sciences, wanted to go med school until I realized that I wanted to be a Registered Nurse instead. Just got my acceptance letter in the mail, I am so ecstatic but I want to get feed back on what to expect and how I should prepare myself mentally ad physically. It's an accelerated program so I am a little scared so please if you would help a soon to be Nurse out.
Thanks in Advance.

WOOHOO! Congrats. Your work experience and background are awesome. I am guessing its been a while since your BS so I would say brush up on Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology and Pharmacology and you should have no worries.
With your background I expect that you will find yourself atop your class :)
Thank you for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. Are you an RN?
No, not an RN yet, just a humble student :)

Congratulations! Strap on your seat belt, put your head down, and stay positive! Don't look too far ahead (you might freak yourself out). Concentrate on one semester at a time, and then narrow it to each section of the class as they go along. And stay on top of your assignments! Try to work ahead if you can, but you do need to stay on a schedule.
Good luck!

I am also a CNA with a Bachelors that got accepted to nursing school.... so congrats to a fellow CNA! We might be ahead a little when it comes to some aspects of patient care (vitals, bed baths, etc.).
