Had a kid bring his wet, bloody tooth and plop it right on my desk.
C'mon now!
Or the kid that did running knee slide into my office.
C'mon now!
The ones old enough to cover their mouths but choose to cough right in your face instead.
All together: C'mon now!!
Some things just make me shake my head.
School day started 15 mins ago... Student comes aknocking at my door with a pass that states his complaint is "face." I see no s/o injury, or any type of rash, so I'm obviously confused, and slowly getting annoyed... After asking him repeatedly to clarify he tells me he hit his jaw with the corner of the computer cart... YESTERDAY!
C'mon now!
I get in at 9 and I have a boy immediately waiting on me. He told me his chest has been hurting him a lot since last night and his grandma told him to go see the nurse when it starts hurting. He got off the bus and immediately came to see me. The office sent him back because I wasn't there and they didn't know what to do. Came back down and when I called home dad told me, "Oh yeah he's been having chest pain so we are going to take him to the hospital after school. Did you want us to pick him up now?"
C'MON NOW
1st grade teacher calls to let me know a sick little guy is on his way down, has had several episodes of diarrhea(they have RR in the classroom). Kid is clearly ill, call mom, she's coming to pick up, we walk down and get his backpack.
5mins later- kid from same class "I have what HE has, so can I go home too?"
ummm....nice try
I love arguing with my supervisor about when a specific vaccine was mandated by the state. I pull up the state's website to show when it first became a requirement. Supervisor STILL says she is right despite proof directly in front of her, speaking degradingly to me. Five minutes later calls me to say that she was mistaken. No apology.
Had a student trip in a small hole out side and land in some stickers. My wonderful (I seriously mean this) Administrative Assistant followed up with her while I was away from my office for a little bit and informed me that she was concerned since she has an allergy to grass (super mild, like almost everyone). She was also kind enough to tell the student that she can understand why she would be worried, but that the POISON released from the sticker is such a SMALL amount that it shouldn't cause her any problems
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but your typical, run-of-the-mill stickers don't usually contain poison....and if they do, boy have I been underplaying these bad boys for my entire life. Oops.

Obviously, stickers are toxic! That's why the doctor's offices give them out after a visit, to keep kids sick. Stickers cause cavities too, that's why the dentists give them out. Major conspiracies going on with the stickers!
