Had a kiddo come to my office to say that the scab on his knee hurt every time he touched it. I put a band aid on it and told him to stop touching it if it hurt. He looked at me like I was nuts and then proceeded to tell me the dramatic story of how he pulled a "GIGANTIC" splinter out of his knee the day before. All in one piece, of course. In the middle of this nail biting story, he stops, cocks his head to the side and says "mmmm, that honey bun looks so good" in reference to the honey bun sitting on my desk. Sent him back to class with my honey bun and told him to quit touching his knee. I'm still amused that he was able to con me out of my honey bun! C'mon now!! :roflmao:

Thanks guys! She was OK yesterday. Had Tyl #3 in the morning and didn't need it again until close to bedtime and I woke her at 3am to give her another dose with ibuprofen. She's got a soft cast and is moving slow. I know she will be excited to get back to her classroom today and tell her tale. A couple friends stopped by yesterday to check on her which was sweet.

I'm anxious about the ortho appt. I wish we could get in sooner, but with this being the last week of school, I cannot take another day off to take her.

Kidzcare...Hoping no surgery!!

This AM:

3rd grader: "Both my ears hurt.'

Me: Did it hurt at home? (yes) States parent knows.

Me: Did Mom or dad give you any pain medicine?

3rd Grader: No.

C'Mon now!

Scenario 2

4th Grader: "I have a really sore throat'" States Mom aware.

Me: Take temp, look at very red throat. "Did Mom give you any pain medicine this morning?"

4th grader: No
