Club LPN / Fall '05

Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Yes we have had Fundamentals, Growth and Development, Geriatrics, and Pharmacology this week. Our math test is next week in Pharmacology Lab. You'll do fine just take it one step at a time.:) That's what I'm trying to do, not get overwhelmed, but keep a planner and write down each assignment, and when it's due, and complete it one thing at a time. Thanks for your advice :) I have a composition book that I write all my assignments in, and I also have matching notebooks and folders for each class. The organization, and time management I think I'll do well with. How's the material so far? Are you finding it to be difficult? I'm affraid I'll be given an assignment that I have no clue how to do. I found myself caught up in my medical dictionary last night. I found so many things that were interesting to me. I had a girl tell me today that I won't have a life for the next 11 months. I told her that's the least of my worries, I've dedicated the past 12 months to school, and have an awesome GPA to show for it. My heart and goals are set on this program, I think I'm over-stressing myself :eek: I just want Monday to get here!!!!!!

im glad im not the only one worried about pharmacology. this is all gonna be new to me, i've been in mortgage banking for the last 11 years and i've always wanted to be in nursing and i finally got the guts to make the jump and now im just terrified about making it through the program.

:nono: Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I must have over looked your post. I've already checked into a tutor for Pharm. I would rather be ahead than behind. When does your program start? I start the 22nd. Best of luck to you. Let us know how it goes.

is diet and nutrition/ fundamentals and A & P, and i talked to a girl yesterday that just finished the program she said it was very difficult 3 tests usually a day so im a little nervous about that part. and i've got some people set up to help me on the math if i need it, as well the school offers free tutoring if we need it. good luck to you your starting the day before me

is diet and nutrition/ fundamentals and A & P, and i talked to a girl yesterday that just finished the program she said it was very difficult 3 tests usually a day so im a little nervous about that part. and i've got some people set up to help me on the math if i need it, as well the school offers free tutoring if we need it. good luck to you your starting the day before me

I've also heard about the 3 tests a day. A&P was a pre req for me. Is it Intro to A&P? Keep in touch!:)

It went ok, I'm just really tired already. I had 6 chapters and 2 worksheets to do last night and today I had 6 more chapters to read. Plus lots of other out of class stuff to do on top of reading assignments. It's definitely going to take some time to get used to the fast pace, but it's good at the same time. I think I'm going to really like it.:) Good luck on your upcoming first day and let us know how it goes.:balloons:

Now I know how you feel, 6 chapters for me also, and over 300 pages of printing on net. I was so tired yesterday when I got home that I fell asleep in the rocking chair. And it's been nothing but homework since. I can see that we're in for a he_ _ ride. How's it going for you, I don't see any new post from you. I'm taking a short break to do this. Keep in touch when you can, same here!!

I wish us both tremendous luck!!!!!!!!

glad that you survived! yes it's going to be quite the experience but i pray that we will make it through ok! :wink2: i'm still loaded down under the books myself trying to prepare the math quiz we are going to have tomorrow over measurements and conversions. math is so not my strong point! :scrying:

if it doesn't kill us, it will make us stronger! :lol2: hang in there and keep in touch! :)

i believe it will make us stronger!! best of luck on your math quiz. we took one yesterday, not for points, but we have one for points on tuesday, so i know where your at. i can't wait until the weekend , so i can get caught up on all this reading. just remember, it'll all pay off in the end. :nurse:

Hello all ! I found out Friday I made it into the program. Monday I was told to go to class then after class go get my books and pay my tuition. When I got to class on Monday, I looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I had no clue what we were going over.Come to find out when everyone else got to go to orientation back in June they got a bunch of reading assignments to get a jump start on. I just finished my last chapter of reading at 7:30 tonight. Talk about catching up! We had a test today in one of my classes, I didnt do too bad for not really knowing what was going on, Got a B. Hopefully things will get better.....I hope ! Good luck to all you other LPN students!

good luck! i jusy finished my program in aug. my nest advise to you is to get you cluster and start reading. :lol2:

i thought this would be a great place for us to ask each other questions and help each other out with concerns, school work etc... during the next year.
