In my first year, we spent two days in lecture and two days in clinical every week. This fall I'll be starting my second year (ADN) and it will be three days lecture and two days clinical.

I start my 1st nursing class Aug 16. We have classes on Mon, Tue, Wed from 10-12 and Clinicals Thurs. & Fri from 7am to 10am at the local hospital. Our ADN program is 5 semesters, I 've heard that the clinicals are longer for the other semesters.

My program is by hours. Since we work one on one with a preceptor, our days correspond with our preceptor's schedule. Last semester was 216 hours whereas this semester it was a bit less 168.
As for class we have due dates for assignments. Since this is a distance ed program we don't attend class but for some classes we have a mandatory real time chat one night a week. The first semester, three of my classes had a chat requirement which meant 3 nights aweek online with my classmates.
It is a very interesting set up as we are chatting with our fellow classmates from a variety of states. Some classes even have students outside the US in attendance. It is always great to hear the learning experiences of those in other states.
I love distance education but there is a huge responsibility on the students to be proactive in their education. The flip side is I can work on my school work at home on a rainy day in my pink fuzzies or during my lunch time from my work computer. It's not for everyone but for me it's the only way.

Class is Monday & Wed with an occasional Friday. We have required lab time that we schedule on our own time. I usually do it after class or plan on spending the first few Fridays of the semester getting them done. Clinicals for 1st semester was at a LTC on Tues & Thurs from 8-2. Semester 2 & 3 clinicals were at hospitals Tue & Thursd. This coming semester they are still on Tue & Thursday, just longer hours 8- 3:30 at the hospital.
