Published

for those of us who just got accepted to nursing school and have to wait 2 freaking years to start:cry: ...check in here!! :D

personally, i will have things to do next year though. i have to go through the nursing asst. program first (spring '07). then, we're allowed to take pharmacology and dosage calculations one semester before we start actual nursing school.

of course, there's all those immunizations to look forward to also! :uhoh3:

Me too!! I'll be starting nursing school this August and will be graduating in 2010.

so we are all in the same boat here: afraid that our lives will fall apart as we study and go to class, but at the same time super excited to start school! i'm starting in the fall 08 at la salle university's day bsn program. i am commuting from new jersey into philadelphia for a 45 min drive two days a week for class and god knows where for clinicals three days a week. i still have to get some supplies, books, and my pda-- but it feels like the pressure/stress is mounting already and school is about a month away! i'm nervous i won't have time for myself or to maintain my relationships with my friends, family, and my boyfriend of two years  i'm also kind of worried that i will not be able to maintain a high gpa, achieve my goals that i have set for myself, and stay on top of my studying . but it makes me feel better that everyone is thinking the same things i am! so good luck to everyone and if your going to la salle please let me know!

i'm sure it won't be as bad as you think. i know it will be different, but i have already made it through my first bs degree (in cell biology) and i still was able to maintain my relationships. you will find a balance. you will also have to make sacrifices at times, but you should prepare yourself for them and make room for them. don't be nervous. everything will unravel in time. :)

I'm starting nursing school on August 18!! I'm so excited and so scared at the same time!! It seemed like it would never get here and now it's just around the corner, yikes!!

Good luck to the class of 2010!!

I take the HESI entrance exam tomorrow people.. wish me luck!!! :)

I had to take the ACT after being out of school for 6 years and I remember how nervous I was the day before the test!! Good luck!!

Good luck everyone!

I'm halfway through my BSN program (2 more years to go) and loving it. It's alot of hard work, but I love it and have learned a ton! You'll do well, don't sweat it too much!

This is such an incredible commitment, but look at the benefits! I've already told my husband that he prolly won't see me for the next two years (kidding).

If you have the support at home (I'm sure you do) you can take the time to concentrate on you, your education and your career. Your kids may not get the picture yet (My daughter doesn't quite get why mommy has to go to school) but I'm sure they will be proud of the day that they can proclaim "My mom is a nurse!"

Good luck to you

Man, can you tell I've been studying?? I really need to pay attention to what page of the thread I'm on vs, how long it actually is. . . lol, that post belonged somewhere on page 7.

Congrats and good luck to everyone anyways!!!
