Can anyone break down working at DaVita, including the Salary

Hey y’all. I had a phone interview with DaVita to work at their clinic. They also told me about an Acute Dialysis opening they have which I said I would be interested in. Does any current or former DaVita nurse have insight on how acute dialysis nursing works for DaVita in hospitals?

Also, most RN jobs in Pittsburg right have salaries with it but DaVita doesn’t. What’s the salary like and are their yearly bonuses etc....

I have worked for DaVita in Acutes. If you really like working on your own, it's great. It's also very feast/famine. You may to 5 hours one day and the next 20-24. And there's call. This part is very MD dependent. Personally, I am grateful for my experiences, but will not go back. I'm enjoyed nice, set clinic hours.

I agree. It's a great experience and it pays more (at least for me) but once you leave acutes it's not something you return to.

Not necessarily true. I work with quite a few who come and go, and bounce back and forth between acutes and incenter

I am in the chronic clinic with DaVita in California. We work 12 hour shifts. I love this job- just enough challenge mentally and I get to really know my patients. A salary range would not be accurate because we usually make more per hour in health care than many states. Also you should ask your Davita recruiter about the salary range- they were very open when I asked prior to scheduling an interview.

Does anyone know if Davita pays more for a BSN? I've accepted a position, but I'll be completing my RN-BSN later this year.

I just accepted a position in Pittsburgh. They do pay more for the BSN but I'm not sure how much. If you have a BSN and 2 year experience you get even more. But I only have a year of experience so I am making the base BSN rate.

I work for the same company and I’m still new with Dialysis. I love it. I do not think I would go back to the hospital. The pay is good compare to other outpatient clinics. You will get a $1 raise after your training and $1 more when you become a charge nurse. Good luck and you will like it!! Just willing to learn because there is a lot to learn when you start.

Woohoo!! Congratulations!! Yes, I am in the clinic. I want to work in chronic for a while before I go into acutes. Please update us on how your experience is going in acutes once you get started. Also, I believe acute RN makes a bit more than Chronic.
