Can anyone break down working at DaVita, including the Salary

Hey y’all. I had a phone interview with DaVita to work at their clinic. They also told me about an Acute Dialysis opening they have which I said I would be interested in. Does any current or former DaVita nurse have insight on how acute dialysis nursing works for DaVita in hospitals?

Also, most RN jobs in Pittsburg right have salaries with it but DaVita doesn’t. What’s the salary like and are their yearly bonuses etc....

I'm also in Pittsburgh. I just accepted an acute position- are you in the clinic?

I accepted a job in chronics - so the clinic. The hours for acutes is different than chronic, and I think you get paid more as well because you have to be on call.

I work for the same company and I’m still new with Dialysis. I love it. I do not think I would go back to the hospital. The pay is good compare to other outpatient clinics. You will get a $1 raise after your training and $1 more when you become a charge nurse. Good luck and you will like it!! Just willing to learn because there is a lot to learn when you start.

Great! Thank you! It's good to hear from someone who likes it! I'm looking forward to starting on May 11 and learning a lot! I like that they have a career ladder to follow with opportunities for advancement. Thanks for the feedback!

I started chronics this past Monday 5/18/20, Dialysis is new for me. I've been on the online learning classes a lot and shadowed the tech today. So far the whole set up is overwhelming but I think I am going to enjoy it.

My experience as a nurse is in long-term care, hospice, and critical care

I accepted a RN position with Davita, do you mind if I DM you to ask more questions?  Thanks!

Woohoo!! Congratulations!! Yes, I am in the clinic. I want to work in chronic for a while before I go into acutes. Please update us on how your experience is going in acutes once you get started. Also, I believe acute RN makes a bit more than Chronic.

I left acute (hospital) and am now in chronic (clinic). I’ve heard acutes pay more but I’m not sure because I never asked anyone how much they make ? but the clinic offered me the same pay when I switched over.

Acute and chronic make the exact same per level, only difference is on call pay

I heard the dollar pay is higher in acutes but like I said I never asked anyone how much they make so I can’t be sure. Acutes also make more pay if they travel to other hospitals- which’s happens often in acutes. Well fro DaVita

When I worked the floor, if I traveled to another clinic, I made more at Fresenius, but as a general rule, I've asked friends in my area that do acute and clinic for both companies. As a general rule, base pay for same level nurse is the same acute or clinic. At least in my area. In other states, I haven't a clue
