Hey guy!
First off, Congrats on making it this far. Now we are onto probably the hardest part of this process. Of course school will be harder but will deal with that when we get there. :)
So let's start off with all introducing ourselves
Where are you from?
What type of program are you applying for? (ADN, BSN, MSN etc...)
Are you applying for spring or fall?
What you going to do while you wait? (Besides check your email/mailbox every 10 seconds)
Anything your doing to prepare yourself for what's coming ahead?
Let the wait begin

I am so excited to finally be getting ready to apply for next year!! I feel like it's taken forever, but I'm so proud to say this is my last semester of prereqs :-)
Where are you from? SoCal
What type of program are you applying for? (ADN, BSN, MSN etc...) I'm applying for two different ADN programs
Are you applying for spring or fall? Fall 2012
In the Spring I'm taking classes that will apply in the future to my BSN, and I'll probably take the Summer off if I get in for the fall. I'm a mommy of 2 and I want to spend as much time with my family as possible.
Anything your doing to prepare yourself for what's coming ahead? Just trying to stay relaxed and focused. I don't know if there's any REAL way to be prepared for what's up ahead. I just take it as it comes.

Hi! In a couple of weeks I'm starting my last semester of prereq's. Yay!! I live in San Diego. I'm going to apply to both ADN & BSN programs. The application deadline for a Spring 2012 start ADN programs is Aug.31. I will apply to that school and a bunch of others for Fall 2012 start (both ADN & BSN). If I don't start until the Fall 2012 semester, I will just be taking a break before I start NS. I have 4 kids at home so I have plenty to keep me busy in between. :) I need to take the teas v exam in a couple of weeks. Any pointers? Have any of you taken it yet? What was your best study tool? I keep hearing that the ati study book is best. It seems kind of pricey though. Worth the cost?
LOL I realized that I never shared my own!
Where are you from? Southern California
A few ADN programs this August and Sept for spring 2012
One BSN program this October for fall 2012
One BSN program Jan 2012 for fall 2012
Are you applying for spring or fall? BOTH
What you going to do while you wait? (Besides check your email/mailbox every 10 seconds) Work, meh, unfortunately gotta save up to quit once NS starts!
Oh and I will still stalk the mailman!
Anything your doing to prepare yourself for what's coming ahead? Trying to get a healthcare job to get some experience and extra points on my nursing applications too.
Probably get the nursing school books as early as possible to start readin up
oh and get some NCLEX books too
OH me too! I am studying with a buddy of mine from now until fall semester starts (fall starts at end of aug) for the TEAS V too!
I have only skimmed through the ATI book. It looks decent. I randomly read questions in the back trying to get a feel for how they ask the questions. I did see some geology questions on there and I am wondering why the hell are they on there?
I hope that it isn't that hard!!! I need at least a 90% to be competitive for the BSN programs I am applying too!

I'll be applying for Fall 2012 for my CC's ADN program. :) Have 4 prereqs left that I'll be taking over the next school year (A&P 1 and 2, Psych and Human Development) and will need to take the TEAS. If I get waitlisted (I hope not I hope not I hope not) I plan on working as a CNA in between to get some good experience, since I'm halfway through my CNA class.

It won't let me edit my post, but I just found out I can apply to a BSN program also, so I'm going to apply to that also :-) And I forgot to mention that between now and then I'm going to be volunteering in a hospital also. I'm going on Tuesday to meet with the volunteer director at a hospital. I hope to get my foot in the door and network a bit while also enjoying being in the environment I hope to work in :-)

I'm in Dallas and will be applying for ADN for fall 2012. My application period is Sept through Jan, so while I wait I will be taking courses for my BSN. They don't send out acceptance emails until April. So from Feb to April I will be on pins and needles waiting and hoping
