First off, Congrats on making it this far. Now we are onto probably the hardest part of this process. Of course school will be harder but will deal with that when we get there. :)

I'm applying for the BSN and ADN program of two different colleges here.
I'm applying for the fall program for both program and will decide which one to attend after finding out which one I get into. Both are wonderful programs.
While I'm waiting, I will be working, planning my wedding (08-04-12!), and decorating our new home. I will probably take an online med. term. class.
As far as prepping for the time ahead, I'm doing as much relaxing as possible. I will also try to brush up on my anatomy and phys courses in an attempt to keep things fresh and maybe read some touching nursing stories in order to keep my passion strong when the stress hits next fall.

Winter, actually! Our Winter Semester starts January 5th, so I'm hoping for a very early 2012 entry! If not, then hopefully Spring!

I've been spending time on here, reading things here and there. Preparing myself by reading others' hardships and what they've overcome is helping me the most right now!

I pretty much finished all my courses just doing volunteer work at a hospital while working on my applications. I'm excited and a bit scared in what to expect from the application responses(checking the mail every 10seconds will def be me) :)

Are you applying for spring or fall? Yes ;-) I'm trying to get the spring, but it'll be borderline, I will definitely get in in the fall
What you going to do while you wait? (Besides check your email/mailbox every 10 seconds) I have one last coreq (Speech) to take in the fall, plus I'm taking some other classes I would need if I decide to get a BSN
Anything your doing to prepare yourself for what's coming ahead? I'm about to start volunteering at my closest hospital that is one of the hospitals used for rotations through my CC. I just took the HESI A2 (got 95%...yay!) and turned in my application this morning.

anything your doing to prepare yourself for what's coming ahead? i bought a bunch of the nursing made incredibly easy series to study, saunders nclex guide that i have already started reading

What you going to do while you wait? (Besides check your email/mailbox every 10 seconds) trying to complete as many pre- and co-reqs as possible, working pt and study for the teas test. very nervous about the science portion, because i haven't had chem or biology in 19 years.
Anything your doing to prepare yourself for what's coming ahead? read, study, sponge up as much info as i can and imagine myself fulfilling the dream of becoming an rn. :) ohhhh yeah....spend some time with the hubby, kiddos and dogs while i have the free time!

I am very worried that I will have a lot of trouble with the prereqs like A&P I and II as well as chemistry and biology, considering I got C's in science in high school. Very worried that I am going to struggle with it.
I am applying to an ADN program at our local CC and also 2 different diploma programs that are very well known and respected in our area (Western PA). I have a BS degree from a prior life so eventually I will go back for my RN-BSN or RN-MSN. The accelerated second degree programs just didn't work for me right now - so that is why I'm going the ADN route.
I have 4 kids and will be taking science courses all this coming year, hoping to get into NS for Fall 2012. All of my other classes transfer (psych, sociology, etc).
I take the PSB entrance exam for one of the schools NEXT FRIDAY and I am freaking the heck out. I've been studying for a month already but I'm still scared. I haven't had highschool chemistry since...ummm..high school! Which was *ahem* 21 years ago. :smackingf. The other school I will be applying to does the TEAS and the other one the NLN-PAX! Talk about needing to be prepared!
One school has rolling admission and I've already applied there. The other one requires you to take the PSB before they even LET you apply (!) then decision in December, and the third has a deadline of January with testing in February and decision in March! I'm hoping to get into ONE of them before December!
