Broward College Nursing Program August 2016

Updated:   Published

Hello!

I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.

I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)

My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)

I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.

Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?

Another week of torture...hopefully the rest of us gets our points this week and our status updates!!

torture indeed

Hello RN Applicants for August!

Just a few reminders from the Health Science Admissions Office:

** We are in the process of entering everyone's application before decisions can be made. Please do not email us with "My friend applied after me and their information is in, but mine is not." The order applications are received has no baring on the order they are entered. Everyone will be in before we make decisions.

** To monitor the status of your application, log in to your MYBC account and click on limited access application status. Once we enter your information in the system, it will show up there. Please do not call or email us asking what your status is. If you feel there is an error once your status is updated, then email us.

** We stopped taking applications for the August term on May 20. Anyone who applies after, will be considered for the January term.

** Points are NOT awarded for MAC or HESI, only for pre-requisite GPA.

** When you submitted your limited access application, you applied to the program NOT a particular campus, even if you wrote the campus on your application or checked North/Central where it says EMS on the application.

** It is the students responsibility to see an academic advisor prior to applying to the RN program to ensure all pre-requisite are satisfied on your degree audit, especially if you are a transfer student from a university.

** Decisions are expected to be sent out within the first two weeks in June.

Good luck!

No. We won't know that until everyone is in the system and we start making decisions.
