I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.
I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)
My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)
I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.
Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?
Can someone please post the required reading and text needed for first semester? This will help kick start some reading. I am applying for January 2017. Does not hurt to start reading.
I'm debating on what stethoscope to buy.. I already purchased a $15 prestige medical one from the uniform store.. I really want the Littman. Only thing is that during orientation at north they said not to purchase an expensive one because they get lost. Decisions... I purchased the bundle today at the book store and also the nursing kit. I'm still missing a few books.. Have to buy the pharm. textbook. I heard from a few students not to purchase the math textbook because its all mostly powerpoint. I don't know what I should do about that.
Check your email via D2L or outlook because I already received emails from the professor telling us to read ahead in the math book. She says she's covering half the text during the first session.

Hello everyone! I'm coming from North campus and I have some books for sale, if anyone is interested. I'm not sure if any of the required textbooks have changed but I have the Fundamentals of Nursing 8th Edition (Potter & Perry) for $80, Dosage Calculations 4th Edition for $100. And for the second semester I have the Med-Surg 9th edition textbook for $90, the corresponding study guide for $30, and the corresponding clinical companion is $40. I'm available to meet at North campus, if anyone is interested. Thanks!
