Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

THIS IS WHY I ASKED IF IT WOULD CRASH! and it did. for 30 minutes, i wanted North Campus but didn't get it since the system kept crashing. it was horrible and now I'm at central and have to drive 45 minutes... uhg

Wow I'm so sorry though. The system crashed on everyone smh. 45 minutes is a crazy drive. Geez

The servers did not crash. They were very slow. We checked with IT when everyone was having issues. If you are unhappy with your campus you can watch the registration for the next week (until October 28) and if all 6 classes are available (using the reference numbers provided by the departments) you can switch. If you feel the campus is too far for you and you are unable to switch you can have you application moved to May and try again for the campus you really want. However with this option there is no guarantee for readmission. You will be competing for a seat.

Even if the server wasn't as slow, many of you would still have not gotten the campus you wanted. Every semester students end up on a campus that is not their preference because seats are limited on each campus. That's why the two options I mentioned earlier are in place.

for the career source grant, does anyone know if you can apply after you have started the program and still get approved? right now, combined, i believe my husband and i are very close to the max income, but come next semester I am going to have to drastically cut my hours back.... thanks :)

I called yesterday and asked them that exact question because right now I make too much but will cut my hours in January and they said it is ongoing and as long as there are funds you can apply. You just have to be accepted into the program, live in Florida for at least a year and meet the financial requirements

Are these funds only available to Broward County residents or does it apply to Miami Dade County residents as well?

Hey!! Like Nicole said just keep trying until the 28th. I didnt get central campus when I tried yesterday and ended up with south. I added my email to the notification list. As soon as I got the email this morning, I signed up for central campus. So just keep trying. remember she said some people get dropped for registering wrong :up:

So, the south campus bookstore is frustrating. I went to the book store to get the orientation packet to try to get a refund because i think i got the wrong one. It all started when i read some of the material inside i was wondering why it said year 2015-2016 on one of the forms. I went back later the same day to try to get a refund because i thought it was the wrong packet. Apparently the employee told me that these are brand new. But it doesn't make sense because some of the documents in the orientation packet doesn't look like it is for our semester. The schedule looks like someone who would start in august instead. I still have the orientation packet and couldn't get the refund. What do i do? Is it the right packet or should i get another one?

- In front it says 2016-1 for the term and i know our term is 2016-2, but the problem is they said those packets were the only ones they have. Help.

Does anyone know what the financial requirements are for the careers source grant? I'm working full time Now but I'm quiting my job in December.
