  1. I graduated in dec 2017 the rules may have changed since then but we always wore the uniform for math and pharmacology. I got adidas plain white shoes at the mall. I can’t remember when you need the kit, however you won’t go to the hospital until you pass return demo, which I think it’s on week 3. At least that what I remember.
  2. Hi it's been a long time since I took the class in 2016 I think they change books already. I do remember that the only thing I did do before entering the program in January was practicing the math.
  3. Everyone who went to broward has heard the same stories many times and they still attend the school because they know broward college has a great reputation in hospitals and one of the highest NCLEX passing rates. The experience that you describe was not mine. Yes I had to struggle and deal with difficult events and learn how to study but I decided to give my best effort and I succeeded. I'm so so proud of myself for being a broward college graduate. Everyone's experiences is different and for future student don't let someone else's "horror stories" affect you being a nurse as we know there are plenty of pvt schools out there that will cost you an arm and a leg. I would be embarrassed going to one of those universities and ending up owing tens of thousands of dollars in loans. There is a light at the end of the tunnel don't let anyone come between you and your dream, not a professor not a nurse not students that had a bad experience. The wonder of being in America everyone can have their own opionion.
  4. Graduated from broward college in December passed the NCLEX with 75 questions!!! Thank you broward college fo giving me the tools to pass this exam and be a good nurse. Yes broward college is very challenging as it is with importance to keep their NCLEX passing rates very high. All the negative reviews are from ppl that failed out or quit because they couldn't take the heat. If you are one of those ppl who gives up at hurdles instead of facing them head on you should not go there.
  5. I graduated from north campus in December and they lets us use calculators. But I'm not sure new students. Btw I'm selling nursing books for cheap if any of you guys are interested.
  6. The claws have come out lolol. Im not here to raise your blood pressure lol ñ. This comment showed up on my email address as I have been selling my books from nursing school in this forum that's the reason I follow it not to trash schools. I don't work for broward i graduated in December I'm on the graduation list and since you have so much time on your hands and know so many people who graduated from there you can look it up on the list of graduates that everyone gets. I think you said you graduated from there?? I don't reqlly care but you know what I find ODDD that you stayed there HATING IT SO MUCH, you had the option of transferring....you should inform that Miami dade requires a lot more classes and credits than broward. 114 students graduated from broward college. I doubt there were 114 genius graduates. I don't like stressing ppl out El out who may doubt themselves by listening to negativity. That's not the type of person I am. I'm done with this conversation.
  7. I'm sorry but those are not helpful tips, that's trashing the school. Everyone has their right to form their own opinion not scare everyone away. No one is saying broward college is easy, it's very dIfficult and everyone in the hospital knows that and it makes it even more special to say I'm a broward college nursing students. I'm sure you have also heard the stories out there that going into a pvt nursing school is purchasing the degree. Stories are everywhere!!!
  8. Wow! Don't let anyone discourage you from attending broward college! if I woulda listened to all the "stories" out there I wouldn't have graduated from broward college nursing. God knows where I would be. If this person was so against the school why would he/she attend??? I bet they heard the same stories" and went ahead and registered or why did this person stayed?? what about transferring To the other two schools mentioned above or any other school? As far as I know broward does not keep anyone hostage..... I know why this person didn't transfer because Broward college is very affordable unlike all those other schools that charge you 3 or 4, 5 times more, what about that broward has one of the highest passing nclex rates as you can check that online, or how about because when I was on the floor for clinical the nursing staff was happy to see us there and were grateful, while they talked about the other schools not doing anything. I'm sorry but when I said I was from broward college the medical and nursing staff was impressed. Nursing is not easy and you should not sell yourself short before even starting a program. It does not take a genius to pass Broward if I did without failing anyone can. I'm actually very proud of being a broward college nursing graduate it's a great nursing program. I would actually be mortified and embarrassed that i let someone i don't know talk me into getting A $50000 dollar loan for another school and making the same money.
  9. Well for the first few weeks it was, at least for the first 3 or 4 weeks Bc you had your clinical days where they teach you skills and the math class on Thursday which is one month. They will place you with an instructor and you be there either tues or wed. After 4 weeks you will be done with math so it will be 3 days a week. You also have to go to the lab and practice your skills for return demo I was there a lot, they had us do like 10 hours or something like that I had like 30 hours of practice. Again this was when I was in process immnot sure if they have moved the class to Thursday or it's still Friday.
  10. When I was in process classes were Monday and Friday 9 to 12, on Monday is pharm at 5pm tues and wed was clinical lab 11 hours for the first few weeks and Thursday math for 4 weeks. This was for north campus. During the Summer the class was extended one hour because of the 6 week time frame.
  11. Yea i was in the generic program. I studied 8 hours a day 5 to 6 a week with breaks
  12. I think is very rude for ppl to come in this threat with their negativity. Ppl need to mind their own business. And yes Broward college is very hard but if i was able to do it anyone can. as long as you are determined to be nurse and say to yourself no one is gonna get between me and getting that degree are disciplined, and have good time management you will be fine.

  14. Trends in north campus im not sure if all the other campuses use the same books.
