Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

When you leave quest they give you a tiny piece of paper which is your receipt.

They refused to give me one at the silver lakes location I even went back and asked them so I'm going to make an appointment with someone at south to check my documents and see what they suggest. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me to bring my receipt from the 30 drug charge so that's what I'll do.

When I went they gave me the last page of paper we were given at pre admission (white paper). It has my signature and everything I don't see why they wouldn't have given that to you they have two other copies.

I'm not sure. Maybe it was only that location but they wouldn't give it to me. And other students were there as well and they had the same issue. Ill see what they say when I go in at south for my appointment

Oh I don't know what to say because you need that for your nursing packet. You need to tell them you need proof.

I agree- you gave them the paper we got at permission and they said they needed it? I would go back and ask for the last page they have two other pages they can keep. One goes with the specimen and one for the office they don't need the other.

I went to the one on Washington street and they didn't give me anything I talked to Marycelle at south campus and she said she has been getting a lot of that same situation going on and when she find out what is supposed to be done she will send a email out to the south campus students

Thanks for the info! I called too and she said she would figure it out as well a lot of us are having the same issue so I'm sure they will send out an email. There is nothing we can do if they won't give it to us. I tried to argue it at quest and they just don't give it anymore so I'll wait and see what the email says.

I already tried to go back. They won't budge. Apparently a lot of people are having this issue and the nursing department at south is going to send out an email when they figure out what's going on so I'll wait and see what they say to do.

I took my drug screen at Quest on Tuesday when does the school get the results or do we have to bring them anything? Do we hear anything back about it or only if there was an issue???

When I went I was told the results would only take a day to process. I am not sure what happens next regarding the results though.

The schools gets the results in twenty four hours. They'll only call you if there is an issue.

Yeah I got the white paper from the original packet we got from the admissions meeting
