Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

Thank you so much for providing us with a promo code mursynursy. Every single dime counts! I will be using ceufast too! However I did notice that the total contact hours all together is 5 instead of 6 like we were told in orientation for TB/OSHA/HEP. I see you mentioned you been using ceufast previously. Do you think there will be any problems because of that when I go to turn the certificates in school?

I'd like to know the answer to this question too

It has to add up to 6 hours. You need to call the program office and see which other 1 hour course you need to take to make up the 6 hours.

I've never had a problem with ceufast. I'm an lpn and I've been using them for years. And it's accredited by the Florida board of nursing.

I took the infection control and barriers course. It was 4 hours, will that suffice?

I don't know they have osha as two hours cause everyone knows it's a one hour course. They are throwing students off. In all my years of working osha has always been 1 hr

AIDS/hiv 4

Osha 1

Hep 2

Tb 2

Medical errors 2

Domestic violence 2 but the site has it as 3.

Florida law is 2 but the site has it as 3.

I'd like to know the answer to this question too

Hi August 2015 south campus student here :). I would suggest checking the August 2015 thread for the extra class you have to take, I remember a couple people mentioning which ones you needed for ceufast.

osha/tb/hep in addition to the infection control and barrier precautions adds up to 6 Hrs, :)

Take the infection control and barrier course on CEUfast.com. Also, I recommend checking out the American Heart Association website. I am taking my BLS course (AHA) Nov. 3 for only $55, no book required. So I am paying only $85 total for all of my CEUs and CPR course! This is the way to go.

okay I am a little confused here,

I am going to take the ceu on ceufast.com but I need to make sure all the hours add up and they will be accepted by the school.

On CEUFAST:

HIV/AIDS: 4hrs

Domestic Violence: 3hrs

Osha: 1hr

TB: 2hrs

Medical Error: 2hrs

Florida Law: 2hrs

Now for the TB/OSHA/HEP should add up to 6 hours but one ceufast its only 5 hours. You guys are saying that we should take the 4hr infection control barrier course as well to get the 6 hours? That is confusing. Is there anyone who has completed all the CEU's on ceufast and everything has been accepted? Sorry if im being a little redundant.
