  1. I wouldn't say that's entirely impossible because I'm sure there are people out there who is a superman/woman. PERSONALLY, I think you will be setting yourself up for failure by working 40 hours and attempt to accomplish nursing school successfully. I'm not sure about part time, but with full time generic they only recommend 8 hours or less. I work 10 hours a week and I have not seen sleep in the past 4 months. Nursing program is nothing like pre req classes. You will NEED 150% of pure dedication of studying in order to pass classes. But then again, I'm only speaking from my experience.
  2. I'm a hands on learner so in skills and assessment I'm good at but fundamental... man don't get me started on how much it's been killing me to be reading that giant book every single day LOL I already did half of the memorization. It isn't that bad. I find flashcards to be very helpful when it comes to that
  3. I have her at 11:40. Her method can get a bit complicated If you don't follow. I've been in school for the past years and math has been my Forte so I didn't even pay any mind to her method I just stick to mine. If you need help, we can make a study group before the exam.
  4. I have Hanna. And you??? I'm on campus Tuesday and Wednesday. I have 3 hours break from 11-3 on Tuesday and I'm done at 1pm on Wednesday. So I usually study on my break and right after class on Wednesday. I'm also off on Monday, if you or anyone want to review everything before the exam on Tuesday, I can meet on campus.
  5. Me too !! It's so much information. And to think that the professor powerpoint will highlight the most important but noooo she bullet point every single sub topics of every chapter so I still have to read EVERYTHING anyway. I'm generic full time. I started the 6 chapters a week before class started when she initially sent out the syllabus. I guess getting a head start was a good thing. And yes, I work 18 hours a week. LOL all my free time has been invested into that giant book!
  6. I'm reviewing all of the 9 chapters for the third time today with three different method of studying. I have no idea of what will on the first exam and how the layout will be so I'm trying all the studying method just in case lol trust me, I'm pulling almost all of my hair out already. It will be nice to get a few people to review each other sometimes before the end of this week since the exam will be next week. Anyone interested let me know. Maybe on Wednesday evening or Thursday after the lecture tomorrow.
  7. First exam for fundamental is two weeks away. How is everyone planning on studying? Does anyone want to make a study group?
  8. Omgggg my first day is tomorrow. I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight
  9. Is that for certain professor ? Because I only got the syllabus for my nur1025 and nur1025c from Hanna
  10. What happened if you don't mind sharing?
  11. Merry Christmas to all my future fellow nursing classmates! ?
  12. I went to Jackson today and apparently my name wasn't on the list.... anyone came across the same problem?
