  1. Handful indeed! Yeah, he starts his second semester tomorrow. Hmm I see what you mean, full time jobs and nursing school are not a good combination. Finances will be tough... But if it makes you feel better know that you are not the only one on that boat lol. Hopefully we get to know each other well, I wish you the best of all. And just like you said before, let's not forget we must study hard, have faith and always pray! Good night! Wow that's a handful! And your husband is in nursing school too? That's cool! [emoji51]. I work as an lpn at a nursing home now full time but more than likely I'll go down to per diem for Friday's and Saturdays only. Finances will be tough but hey. And no I have no kids and no hubby. Lol
  2. I agree with you, at the end of our journey all our sacrifices will be paid off. I have a part time job, work 18 hours per week. Hopefully I can do both without any problems. Have two kids but also a good husband who is currently in nursing school as well. So with that said I will have plenty on my plate but we can do this! How about you? Are you working?Any kids?!
  3. Hey mursynursy I will also be going to South Campus. I hope you had a great Xmas break and you are ready for the upcoming first semester!
  4. Hello South Campus! Who are your professors?!
  5. That's Fundamentals of Nursing book right?
  6. Good morning everyone, Central students, how did it go on Orientation? Us at South campus don't have orientation till mid December. Any thoughts about your orientation? :)
  7. I would like to know the uniform prices as well. In central they are $25 top and $25 bottom. Most likely all campuses have the same prices. But if there is a anyone who has gotten their uniforms at a different price than those, please let the rest of us know!
  8. Hello everyone, this post is particularly for those students who chose South Campus. I have a question regarding the ceu's. Is there anyone that already turned it their ceu to the nursing dept? I'm almost done taking them on ceufast.com only missing one course which is "prevention of medical errors" I was able to find it on ceufast.com under the name of "Medical errors Prevention and Risk management course" is this the one that I need to take? Whomever turn in all their ceu's using ceufast.com to school and they already accepted them please help me. Thanks in advance!
  9. Yup, I will do just as I was told.
  10. Chini0330 I called South on Thursday and no one answered so I decide to leave a voice mail. They returned my call the next day and one of the questions I had was about the "1 hr for OSHA". I was told not to take osha and instead take "infection control and barrier precautions" which is 4 hrs instead.
  11. Thank you so much, I will definitely look into that. Btw, first time I try using the "quote" tool. Hopefully I did it right, lol!
  12. Yes, I did filled out Fafsa 2015-2016. Do you know* which scholarships are offered through BC and where I can find those?
  13. Does any of you know of any agency or career center for Miami Dade residents that would pay some or all of our tuition for BC nursing students? Or perhaps any sort of grants, scholarships or students loans (trying to stay away from private loans) that I can apply too?! Please I really need all the help I can get to pay for my tuition. Financial aid won't cover it. If any of you know of a any sort of help I can get through Miami Dade County please advise me asap!
  14. I went yesterday to do my drug test, the location I went to is the one on North Miami Beach. The lab tech that attended me was very helpful. He did give me a receipt. I would totally recommend this site for all of those who still haven't gotten their drug test done!
  15. Are these funds only available to Broward County residents or does it apply to Miami Dade County residents as well?
