Celebrity is one thing, the baby is another. The baby didn't ask for this crap.

Agree. I do feel sorry for the baby. The press certainly is going to hound her. But if she wants her baby protected and not gossiped about, she'd best keep her mouth shut and the baby out of the public eye. IMO.

I have two young boys, the first a csec and the second a vbac. I have to say recovery time in the hospital after the csec was horrendous. I was up and able to walk around less than an hour after my vbac. It was a miracle. I even watched him being born in the mirror. It's too bad she would choose to miss all that if she didn't have to. I had an epi too, it was a breeze! I think someone has filled her with horror stories. Maybe I should send her an email :)

One aspect of the life cycle Spears was not looking forward to was the business of labor. Saying she didn't "want to go through pain," the pop star told the magazine, "I have a feeling I'm going to have an operation [a Caesarian section]. I don't know why, but I hope so."

Per reports, Spears' dream came true. The entertainer, accompanied by Federline, checked into an L.A. hospital about 6 a.m. to undergo a C-section.

Througout Wednesday, the tabloids and glossies jostled with each other over the baby story--treating the birth like hard-news outlets treat election night, with each seeking to be the first to call it.

The National Enquirer was first out of the gate at about 9 a.m. with news of Spears begin admitted to the hospital for a C-section. Life & Style followed with a press release outlining alleged complications. Us trumped everyone with a press release announcing the birth; the magazine sent out the alert at 1:30 p.m.--just a half-hour after Baby Spears made his debut.

Britney had the baby! And, yes, she did have a c-section. A few days ago I believe she said to the press "I just think I'm going to be having a c-section... I just have a feeling!"

We had this discussion a few months ago, and it's called

"TOO POSH TO PUSH!"

Yes, my friends. Doesn't matter to them about what is best for your body, or for the baby... if you just want that "growth" removed, they will be more than happy to do it for you! And, not only did they rent an entire floor... but apparently they are also having the "event" catered!

Check thesun.co.uk, they're claiming she has had the baby in an

"emergency" operation.

It was an emergency because she wanted it out!!!

Just back from a trip through California to the Reno Air Races. Hey, Steph, what's the deal just over ther Ore/Cal border? I saw "State of Jefferson" everywhere.

But I digress. While waiting in the grocery line, I picked up the latest People and the article on the baby said Brittney was scheduled for a c/section (forget what day) but that she started having early contractions, so they did it right then and there. Hardly an emergency situation and I, for one, have no doubt that there was ever any doubt she'd have one.

Having docs and insurance companies collude to give the impression that elective sections are somehow okay and all really bothers me. But I don't know what the answer is.

There was a movement to split the State of California into two because the far northern part was getting the short end of the stick in alot of ways and Southern Oregon wanted to join with North California, since we have alot in common (industry, politics, etc.). They wanted to call it "The State Of Jefferson".

Northern Californians and Southern Oregoneans still feel the same way.

My ex lives in Reno . . . :coollook:
