Official Statement Regarding Passing of Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com, September 12, 2015

We are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Brian Short, founder of allnurses.com. We respectfully request that you grant the company's employees, friends, families and associates privacy during this difficult time. allnurses will continue to support nursing professionals by providing an unparalleled peer-to-peer online community where they can share experiences and learn from and support one another.

Sad news. I really don't know what to say other than my thoughts are with those personally affected and those who knew the family well.

I am so sorry for the profound loss of the Short family. I'm praying for their loved ones, co-workers, community and my fellow nurses and others as the struggle for meaning and peace continues.

So sorry to hear about Brian Short. I pray that his family and friends find a way to grieve appropriately and be able to overcome this emotional trauma.

How tragic - how awful - my prayers and my family's prayers going out to all their family and friends.

Oh my God. I'm so very sorry to hear the terrible news. I saw a quick report online. Where would we all be without Brian? I wish I could understand, but it's sonething none of us can. Asking for God's blessings to family, friends, coworkers, & our community of Nurses here at AllNurses.

Like so many others- in shock. Please keep all in both families in prayer and we may never know what? Why? Grief beyond words for lives lost. But pray to keep allnurses going for everyone who have benefitted from Brian's legacy...
