Such an awful tragedy! There are no words -

I came to AN quite a few years ago and have always loved reading his postings -

Sending prayers for Brian's family, friends, and fellow AN mods as they go through this time. I am very thankful to u Brian, for building this wonderful nursing community to help us grow as nurses and share experiences with each other.

God bless the Short family and help them find peace!

RIP to all affected and may the families find some way to recover through these tough times. Thanks AN Admins for prolonging the legacy started by Brian for nurses all around the world.

I'm so terribly shocked and so very, very sad. Deepest gratitude to all who are carrying on with the work. I hope you have a chance soon to rest and be refreshed.

terrible

My heart is breaking for the loss the three children, Cole, Madison, and Brooklyn.

May the entire family rest in peace.

And to all the staff trying to track down missing messages, comments, etc.... go grieve, don't waste your time making sure people can see how many people "liked" their comment. Geez... you folks actually had a relationship with this man. You must still be in shock and stunned by this tragedy.

We're not monitoring for 'likes'...

We're monitoring for disrespectful, inappropriate comments, as well as ones that flagrantly violate our site's terms of service. We are in a state of shock and grief, but we are also doing whatever we can to maintain a flame-free atmosphere.

This thread is for people to express their condolences and positive memories. Thank you for understanding and respecting the memories of five lives who departed entirely too soon.

Sad! :-(
