You know...I can just see all you goofballs in the med room passing around drugs sniffing them.

*Man this is some good stuff*

And am I the only one that can smell a tube feeding days after I work?

YOur not alone, I still smell lots of stuff long after I leave work, very sad and disturbing!

Morphine- by far the best smell in the place! I wonder if that is where they got the idea for the perfume "Opium"?

Mmm, chloral hydrate...is that even still used?

You bet...... we use it all the time when we take our bigger non-vented kids down for an MRI....Doesn't always work so well...:D

I love the smell of the stuff used to adhere steri-strips to the skin. Is it "tincture of benzoin"...I don't remember.

Ah benzoine, is one of my favorites. I use a lot of it to keep pressure tape on after pulling cardiac sheaths.

Totally off topic, but Hoozdo, I love your Haiku!! :nuke:

I am on keflex right now and since I can not swallow pills I am on the liquid.....I always smell it before taking it.

Lactulose smells like a buttered popcorn Jelly Belly! I've never had it, but judging by the looks on my residents' faces when they get it, I doubt it tastes like one. I've never smelled liquid Keflex, but if you open the capsule and mix it with yogurt...smells like old milk in a dumpster.

I'd have to agree that amoxicillin smells the best. Timentin IV outright stinks, but morphine syrup is the prettiest shade of blue at the hospital where I work.
