Best-smelling liquid meds!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think Lactulose smells really good? Just wondering....;)

I've always loved the smell and taste of Fletcher's Castoria, a children's rootbeer flavoured laxative...it has a new name now, I'm not sure what. Dopamine surely does smell of sweat. Rocephin and Fortaz are representatives of the catpiss family of antibiotics....awful. I always haaate making people drink mucomyst for acetominophen overdoses....yucky! Alll those pink antibiotic elixirs give me horrid childhood flashbacks....

love love love augmentin liquid..smells like bananas!

mucomyst is the worst smelling and even worse when you give it as a minineb and you get a breath of it......it burns forever!!!!

i am thinking there are way more bad smelling things than good smelling.

my favorite smell of all is alcohol!!! i will use them to clean my face thru out the shift just to get a smell of it!!:lol2:

Definately Dilantin!!! Favorite tasting is between Benydryl and Grape Dimatapp. Worst is Rocephin IM, smells like cat spray. The best smelling med that can also be used as an instant head decongestant is Bio-flex, stronger than Bengay. :yeah:

Liquid potassium chloride smells gross :no:

GI cocktails smell good - I think they have Benadryl, Mylanta?, Lidocaine and one other thing in them

Mucomyst smells especially disgusting when you stick a newly emptied bottle under the nose of an unsuspecting coworker. :D

tylanol with codene does not smell all that horrible.

I have a patient on PO Vanco and it smells yummy....she informs me however that it doesnt taste as good as it smells....I may be crazy but I like the smell of Kayexalate too....

I LOVE the smell of Kayexalate too!!!!!!! The result of Kayexalate never smells as good...curious :rolleyes:

A few weeks ago I was passing a bottle of Calcium Carbonate around to my fellow RN's because it smelled soooooo good! :D

I also like the smell of liquid zantac and benzoin.

Mucomyst and cat pee antibiotics (you all know the ones) are the worst!

Of course the bubblegum antibiotics is yummy. When I was little I used to ask, when I was sick, if I could get the bubblegum medicine. lol.
