Hello!
Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

I'm applying with:
Chem 11 - A
Math 11 - A
Psych - A-
Human Anatomy & Physiology - B+
English: Academic Writing - B+
Anthropology - A+
Statistics - A
I have a total of 55 credits at the moment including my pre-reqs (I did Douglas's Foundations of Nursing pre-reqs) I'm also currently in the HCA program which I will be finished in May giving me a total of 72 credits.
Aside from academics I have been working in the hospitality business for 10 years - bartending, waitressing, event planning and managing. I also have hundreds of volunteer hours from Children's Hospital and Canuck Place Children's Hospice.
I'm really nervous for this application as I applied to Langara back in May and didn't get accepted... But I'm trying not to let it get me down!!
Has anyone finished their CASper test yet? Mine is booked for Tuesday and I'm very nervous and don't know what to expect... If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated ?
I hope to get to meet you all one day!!
I applied to KPU and didn't get accepted too. It sucks! ? I hope we get in this time around. ?
I am taking my CASper test soon as well. I am nervous too. Advice I was given was to just not be a sociopath, if you are one.... fake it. ? In actuality, they suggest no sob stories, don't be a push over, and you can re-use examples as each section is assessed by a different person to prevent bias. It's a long test. Don't sweat it, it's not a knowledge test. You'll do great!
Hi all! Just a quick question for anyone who's applied to BCIT before: I've heard that you can pre-write answers for the noncognitive questionnaire (if you get shortlisted) and can copy and past these paragraphs into the questionnaire when you're actually writing it. Can anyone confirm this? Thank you ?

I found the time limit to be tough. If you did the practice test on casper, its exactly like that but different scenarios obviously. Stay calm and don't panic.
My score last time wasn't competitive enough. I only applied to UBC last time.

Oh I thought that they didn't tell you your score. Hopefully this time you're competitive enough! I'm sure it will be easier now that you've done it before. ?

They don't, but UBC tells you your rank compared to other applicants. I was placed on the waitlist, but didn't get in.
