  1. You can withdraw from BCIT and attend UBC but you will not be able to transfer any nursing credits completed at BCIT.
  2. Congrats! You must be beyond ecstatic!
  3. The $100 deposit is paid once you accept your seat and registration begins July 13th-15th. I wouldn't say there is alot of preparation before September, the most difficult part would be moving and finding a reasonably priced place to stay. Housing costs in Vancouver are expensive. You may want to start looking at your housing options now.
  4. I also got an acceptance letter but will be declining. I wonder how many people applied for their 25 seats.
  5. I got a call around 2:30 for an offer today and I declined in favor for UBC. I was top 15 for reference, good luck to the people next on the waiting list!
  6. The link is included in the welcome letter from UBC.
  7. Mine changed to the same LOL. The person on the phone was likely just guessing the answer instead of actually taking the time to inquire to the correct person about it.
  8. Thanks for the clarification. You would think they would put "non-offer" instead of "withdrawn" if you were not accepted. LOL
  9. Congrats! They confirmed with me that I met all their requirements a while back so I don't know why they would withdraw my application. Thankfully, I was accepted to UBC a while ago which was my top choice anyways.
  10. I checked my status out of curiosity (not interested in attending vcc any longer) and it says the same thing which is hilarious considering how many times I have emailed them to confirm I met all the requirements such as the Casper results. I haven't received any email from them. Honestly, I am not impressed how VCC handles things.
  11. It depends whether you are top 15 or not as top 15 people received differently worded emails. For top 15, it says you will be automatically placed in the January class, while non top 15 says you will be reviewed for the January class. However, if you are top 15 and are still interested in a spot, you can email admissions to confirm.
  12. I received a letter that I am top 15 on the waitlist and "September 3, 2021 is the latest date you will be contacted for the September class. If you are not offered a seat by that date you will automatically be placed into the class starting January 4, 2022. Given your position in the top 15, it is highly likely you will start in September". So it sounds like placement to the January class is guaranteed if no spot for September becomes available but maybe other people received a different email? I will be declining the offer anyways and good luck to anyone on the waitlist! I think if you haven't received any letter today, it means you will get a rejection as it said the September class is now full. I think BCIT heavily prefers people who allready have a bachelors degree.
  13. Mine looked the same when I saved as pdf, they marked it so no need to worry.
  14. I haven't received a welcome letter either, I am guessing they will be sending them out after the deadline unless someone else received theirs? I don't have access either but the requirements submitted have been marked.
  15. I think they mean that your skills are really solidified once you start working as an RN and are doing everything yourself so you learn alot more that way. Alot of UBC graduates that I spoke to mentioned they felt confident in their clinical skills upon graduation and didn't have any problems adjusting. I believe you may also get additional support as a new graduate RN on your first job.
