  1. Oh you know what, my bad. I was basing it on pre-reqs used for my BCIT application and I forgot Douglas doesn't use Chemistry, which is what I finished in Winter 2020. My Douglas Pre-Reqs were finished in Fall 2019!
  2. My email said "Congratulations! I am pleased to advise that you have been conditionally accepted into the 2nd year nursing program." They then give you time to pay a non-refundable $350 deposit to hold your seat. I finished my pre-reqs in Fall 2019. I hope this helps!
  3. I got accepted into douglas’s fall 2021 intake but I will still be applying at bcit tomorrow as it is my top choice!
  4. Okay I made the group! Here is the link. I think I have it set up that you need to request to be added. https://www.facebook.com/groups/462776934875499
  5. Hi everyone! I just got my seat off this afternoon for the fall 2021 intake. I’m SO excited to meet everyone and begin this journey. Would anyone be interested in a FB group if I was to make one?
  6. Agreed! It was exactly what I was expecting. The time was the real issue. I think I did decent... How about you?
  7. Oh interesting! I did do it. I just wasn't sure if bcit looked at it or not.
  8. Just finished my casper as well! It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I can't even remember a scenario I think my mind went blank and I just wrote. Did about 4-5 sentences for each question. Did anyone do the snapshot at the end? Do we know if bcit looks at those?
  9. You have an amazing application!! Try not to worry too much about this. I think it's natural for everyone to be nervous though. From what I understand they purposely make it short so there is little chance of cheating. Just try to answer the questions with quality rather than quantity. I'm also writing mine in 30 minutes, best of luck to you!
  10. Oh I thought that they didn't tell you your score. Hopefully this time you're competitive enough! I'm sure it will be easier now that you've done it before. ?
  11. How was the first time?? Any advice?
  12. Yes! Today at 2pm. Did a lot of studying but still nervous!
  13. Hi everyone!! I'm currently a Douglas College student and will be applying to BCIT's fall 2021 intake in February. I'm applying with: Chem 11 - A Math 11 - A Psych - A- Human Anatomy & Physiology - B+ English: Academic Writing - B+ Anthropology - A+ Statistics - A I have a total of 55 credits at the moment including my pre-reqs (I did Douglas's Foundations of Nursing pre-reqs) I'm also currently in the HCA program which I will be finished in May giving me a total of 72 credits. Aside from academics I have been working in the hospitality business for 10 years - bartending, waitressing, event planning and managing. I also have hundreds of volunteer hours from Children's Hospital and Canuck Place Children's Hospice. I'm really nervous for this application as I applied to Langara back in May and didn't get accepted... But I'm trying not to let it get me down!! Has anyone finished their CASper test yet? Mine is booked for Tuesday and I'm very nervous and don't know what to expect... If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated :) I hope to get to meet you all one day!!
  14. CONGRATS!! Did they say if they still had spots left? I have the same GPA as you and I'm still trying to hold onto some hope!!
  15. Wow, thanks for letting us know! I wish you all the best in your healthcare professional program of choice ?
