Baylor Scott & White February 2020 Nurse Residency

Nurses Job Hunt

Updated:   Published

Hey y'all! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for those of us who are applying to Baylor S&W's Nurse Residency Program in Texas! Thought this would be a great place for us to keep each other updated throughout the application process ?

I applied when the apps opened on September 1st, and received an email requesting a digital interview on September 3rd! Haven't completed it yet. Let me know where y'all are at in the application process!

Congratulations! Do you know if internal medicine the only unit hiring those with their license or is there more units? Is there anyway to email our recruiters if we haven’t heard back since the phone interview?

No they were also hiring for those without their license they only gave preference if u have your license for you to start next month instead of January. Also, you can email the recruiters to ask if you haven’t heard back from the phone interview to see what’s going on.

Thank you. where do we find the recruiters email? I checked on the website and on their Facebook but couldn’t find one. I would like to follow up with them.

You both check your private message already sent. Good luck.

Could you send me the recruiters email as well?

I'm an applicant from out of state. Two of my top choices were in Plano and the other was in Dallas. The recruiter told that locations in Plano were all filled last week, can someone confirm that? My follow-up interview was on the 9th and I still haven't heard anything back on another interview? Do you guys know if interviews are still going on at this point?

I had my in person interview with BUMC ER on 10/16 and I was offered a job the same day!

Specializes in Operating Room.

Does anyone know if they only accept new grads? I’ve been a nurse for 4 years and trying to change my specialty to critical care so I want to work in ICU but not sure if they’re only looking for new grads.. any info helps! Thank you!

Just curious, how did y'alls OR interviews go? If you don't mind, I have a few questions.

What types of questions did they ask?

How many people were on the interview panel?

How long did it (the interview) last?

When did you provide references?

When did you receive notification of a job offer or otherwise?

Do you have nursing experience?

I understand if you don't feel comfortable answering any or all of the questions. Any information you are willing to provide will be helpful when I apply again. ?
