Nurses Job Hunt

Updated:   Published

Hey y'all! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for those of us who are applying to Baylor S&W's Nurse Residency Program in Texas! Thought this would be a great place for us to keep each other updated throughout the application process ?

I applied when the apps opened on September 1st, and received an email requesting a digital interview on September 3rd! Haven't completed it yet. Let me know where y'all are at in the application process!

Does anyone know how long it will take for us to know if we got hired or not?

Did you interview on Monday? I had a face-to-face for the Medical Surgical resident position, but have yet to hear back. I heard it can take a week or so. I think we should receive a call regardless though, right?

i interviewed this week monday with BUMC for Telemetry and internal medicine. I got an offer the same day for internal medicine. i am set to start next month since i just have my license they starting people only for internal medicine who have their license earlier than january. My advice for you or anyone interviewing, go in with confidence and answer the questions to the best of your ability. Always make sure to give scenarios to each questions you answer. Good luck everyone you got this?.

Thanks! I actually interviewed on this Monday too, but I still haven’t heard anything. I will have my license by December, being that I graduate in a few week. I Did say I was interested in the med/tele so perhaps it’s different. Just wasn’t sure if they would extend offers right away or if it took a little while. Seems like the send offers quickly though. ?

I interviewed yesterday for a position and received an offer a few hours after. Good luck to everyone, believe in yourself, be yourself and exude confidence in who you are and what you are capable of!!!

Which unit did you interview for?

I interviewed for the ICU at BUMC last week and got the job offer the next day. Wishing everyone the best as you interview! Just be confident, be prepared, and be yourself!

I interviewed on Tuesday of this week and got my verbal offer the next morning! Just got my offer letter to accept today.

I interview for Grapevine ER on the 24th of September and got my offer last Tuesday. I will start either 13th or 20th of January.

Congratulations! Do you know if internal medicine the only unit hiring those with their license or is there more units? Is there anyway to email our recruiters if we haven’t heard back since the phone interview?
