Baylor Scott & White February 2020 Nurse Residency

Hey y'all! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for those of us who are applying to Baylor S&W's Nurse Residency Program in Texas! Thought this would be a great place for us to keep each other updated throughout the application process ?

I applied when the apps opened on September 1st, and received an email requesting a digital interview on September 3rd! Haven't completed it yet. Let me know where y'all are at in the application process!

It was pretty much a follow up on the questions asked in the digital interview such as specialty preferences and locations. He also asked for GPA, if I took NCLEX, and whether or not I was interviewing elsewhere.

I’ll be attending the expo in Temple, TX this Saturday. For those that went to the GN Expo, should I go ahead and bring copies of my resumes and cover letters? I’ve never been to one before!

Totally! Bring lots of copies! Be prepared to talk to managers and market yourself. Recruiters say it's a time to impress them as they talk to the recruiters after. I got a call the Tuesday after the North Texas Expo to set up an interview. It's an overwhelming day but really fun to connect to the managers and fellow applicants. Enjoy!
