  1. Not sure. I hope so. I think they are taking it month by month. I think we are still on a hiring freeze currently.
  2. We are still on a hiring freeze (at least for people who have no experience) and I have heard we aren’t taking nurse residents this next round, but I don’t know if that’s true
  3. Y’all better get used to the nit picking over silly things, because the entire nursing program is them nit picking over silly things.
  4. I agree. I’ve had back surgery so comfortable shoes were extremely important to me. It took about 6 or so purchases before I finally found a comfortable pair that met all their crazy rules. I’m so thankful I’m an actual nurse now and can wear whatever I want to wear without being in excruciating pain by the end of my shifts! Those look fine. The logo just seems like it’s reflective black, which fits the rules.
  5. Let me know how you like the Cloves. They were terrible and super hard IMO, and since they have the policy of having to be 100% brand new in order to return them, I didn’t try and see if I could break them in. I didn’t want to risk not being able to return them
  6. They have to be completely black or completely white, including the linings, bottoms, logos, etc. Some instructors, you can get away with them not being completely black or white, but a lot of instructors are very strict about it.
  7. You clearly don’t know anything about this program. UTA nursing is the epitome of confusion and having a million questions due to unclear instructions. Same thing happens throughout the entire 15 months as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ nothing wrong with utilizing your classmates for help. My cohort all did it and now we are all successful nurses with awesome jobs. If you get accepted into this program, please do not go in with that attitude or it will not end well for you.
  8. Getting “called off” the waitlist means they got accepted into the program.
  9. They have to be approved by the American Heart Association. And you can only do the actual class online. You have to go test and do the skills check off in person.
  10. You have to live within a distance that you can commute to clinicals
  11. I mean we got answers to our immunization questions in a matter of hours or sometimes minutes back when we were doing all that. CONHI’s administration is just going to crap these days, minus a couple people.
  12. The cancer center did some interviews today
  13. It’s completely false that getting this letter means you’ve had charges. I went through this program and a lot of people from many cohorts got this letter despite not having any charges. There’s no rhyme or reason as to why it happens, but this letter means you are 100% good to go.
  14. Ahhh nice! I’ll have to hit you up if I apply for the MSN program ?
