Baker College NET test

Published

Hi everyone!

I will be taking the NET at Baker this spring. Does anyone know if their test includes A & P?

I had Forest for A&P1. I loved that guy. I got an A in the lecture, but I didn't do as well in lab... and I had Tominello. I think I would have done better if I would have taken the same instructor for both.

Do you have the HESI in the morning or in the afternoon. I have a class that morning (I needed to keep my student loans, because if I get a regular job, I won't be able to pay for my school and live... when I start the program), so I am taking it that afternoon.

Hopefully, I will get at least a 95, then there will be hope. But I will probably be -->|this close|

I passed the lab with an A but didn't do well in Forrest's class at all...Then I had Kyle for A&P II...so they were both hard! But i did learn alot I have to admit from both of them. I am praying that 22.0 will be enough this time to get in...But probably not and I lose I again...That is my luck!!

I am taking the HESI in the afternoon also. I am also praying for a high 90's..I have been studying for these tests...I wonder how much time they give for the HESI? I have also decided to go for a cna class so that I can get to work some where while I am waiting this out. Have to start paying on the loans from baker.:banghead: (sorry had to put this little guy in, he is so cute and I feel like him right now.lol)

I plan on taking the HESI at MCC December 13th. I haven't really been studying for it, since I've got a full load at Baker, but I suppose I should. My goal is to be in Baker's nursing program, but if I can get in over at MCC, hell, I'm going there!

I have A+P 1 this quarter at Baker. I don't know who I have for my lab, but I have Palajac for lecture.

Good luck to everyone!! :)

You have a total of 4 hours which is plenty of time. Trust me, don't panic when people finish in an hour or two just take your time.

Inspire, I know you did very well on the Hesi. Can you offer any advice. How long did you prepare for it. Did you use the study guide? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Jabraham99, I PM'd you

I had 22.15 this last time, and I am still sitting here. If we could have applied last spring we would have been in, the cut off was 20.something.

I really hope that my studying for the Hesi is just in vain... and I get into Baker's program too. I was going to go the CNA route too, but decided against it. Like I said, I don't want to do anything to screw up my financial aid. I have 4 kids, and I need my daycare covered, and my classes too. I could apply at Comcast, but I would have to quit when I started into the program, and I think it would be too much and screw up my pell grant. Which would be fine if I could continue to work, but I don't think I would be able to pull it off.

I know, last spring would have been awesome. I spoke with a few people who got in and they thought 76% on the net would have been fine, but oh well...I am with you on the HESI studying, I hope it is vain also.

Have you heard what the HESI is like? Is it a timed test? Is it difficult? Anything you have heard I would love to know. Thanks...

I took the Hesi last Spring and got a 96%. The Hesi Study Guide (the thin green book) shows you exactly what to study. It is timed (I don't remember how much exactly), but it's plenty - no one I know had time issues. I'm now heading into my 3rd term at Baker (up north) in the ADN program. You can do it! :-)

It seems like you guys know what you are talking about im am enrolled at the clinton Twp. campus at baker how exactly do i figure out my points from the Gpa section?

For this quarter.

You take the GPA of your six science classes (A&P 1&2, Micro, Path, Pharm, & Holistics) and multiply by two. (The most you can have is 8)

You take the other classes. (Comp 1 &2, INF 121, 112, Algebra, Psych--I think that's all of them...) and whatever your gpa is in that area, is how many points you have.

Hope that helps.

Does any Baker students have the paper that shows what your points would be; based on the composite score. Example a composite score or 79 is 6.8 points. If anyone has it, would they mind listing the point breakdown. I take the NET tomorrow and I'm trying to caculate point scenerios.
