  1. After a long day of shopping I came home to the dreaded Baker letter. Man was I nervous to open it. Well....I got in. I'm still a bit in disbelief! It's almost 1am and I can't sleep because I'm so wound up!
  2. Hi Jabraham...For some reason I thought we would be getting the letters the 1st week of Feb. Gettting them on the 15 is brutal, considering I will be away on vacation at that time! Actually, I haven't been stressing too much about it. I do think about it from time to time, but I just don't have the energy to stress anymore. It's going to either one way or the other. Either way, I've been preparing myself mentally. All in all I'm hoping for the BEST!!!
  3. 25 days?!?! When exactly are they suppose to be mailed out?
  4. Rciroski, True I may not have anything to worry about, however I am a worry nut. My life has been stressful enough these last 5 years. My 4 yr. old had open heart surgery 2 yrs. ago and has other medical problems, although one would never know because she acts like a wild child! So for me to have this added stress of getting into the nursing program, I don't know if it's worth it. Also, if this new rumor you heard is true who knows what it could mean for some people. I really don't get how the percentage thing would/could work, if true. Maybe I'm being biast but I don't think it levels the playing field at all actually. It's all just a gamble.
  5. Jabraham99, thanks for the positivity and words of encouragement. Yes, the aniexty is really becoming an issue. February seems so far away. It's even worse now because of the new "rumor" about the percentage thing. I don't know...I hope it is just a rumor. It doesn't even make sense how that would even work or be fair. I'm so tempted to call Karen and ask about it, but we both know what good that would do. I'm sure I will be sending you an email within the next week just to vent.
  6. No, I have not heard this and I truly hope this is not the case. That wouldn't be fair at all! I'm on the verge of changing career paths all together because this is entirely too stressful. Seriously, I'm on the verge of having an anxiety attack. It's not like you can ask someone from the nursing department if it is true because they wouldn't tell you if it where. For some reason they don't think they need to be upfront with us, but at the same time they say we shouldn't believe rumors , but rather come to them directly with our concerns/questions
  7. If you really think about it, there were 156 who applied the last time, leaving 100+ who did not get accepted. I'm sure most of those students probably reapplied. Them along with all the first time applicants makes it a pretty high number again! It looks to be a VERY sticky situation for points.
  8. Well I just picked up my nursing application packet and I was # 167 on the list! This is insane!!
  9. I'm applying to Baker. I hope I get in.
  10. Well actually the national average is 69, which is not bad at all. However, it would be best to score much higher in order to have a "competitive score."
  11. In my opinion a 79 is great. The reason I think so is because where I go to school anything over 80 gives you the MAX 7 points. So a 79 would be a 6.8. You should find out from your school what there point system is though because many schools are different you know.
  12. Good for you. A 79 is great. I recieved my scores today as well, and I got an 84. I'm so so happy. What school do you go to by the way.
  13. So I just got my results back for the NET and........I got an 84!!!
  14. Does any Baker students have the paper that shows what your points would be; based on the composite score. Example a composite score or 79 is 6.8 points. If anyone has it, would they mind listing the point breakdown. I take the NET tomorrow and I'm trying to caculate point scenerios.
  15. Being that I cant send a PM or email until the 15 post thing, I won't be able to respond back to you. I did get your PM though. PM me with an email address if you don't mind and I will respond to your message. I too have had some issues with the whole nursing department!!!
