Thought I'd get this started for the rest of us who, sadly, did not make it in for Fall 2010. I'm hoping to re-submit my application for Spring today (or this week). Does anyone know, do we receive the form from the nursing office? Or, is this something we should grab from the website?
My score upon re-applying will be 54.899. Dang, sure am hoping this will be high enough and get me in this round!
How's everyone else holding up? Did everyone complete the pre-req - 1105 already? I have not and won't (due to extenuating circumstances) until early Fall. Will this negatively impact my chances of getting accepted? According to Tammy and the office, no. But, wanting to get everyone's input. Hoping we will hear about acceptance by Sept. Does anyone know this date for sure? The application period closed July 15, don't know why it takes them so long to get this word out.

I checked my email today and I got an acceptance letter. When the acceptance letters came out, I didn't make it in. My ranking was 152. So either more people declined or more spots came open. There's hope for those that are on the border line.
I got hybrid, too! Ordered my CBC tonight. Does anyone know if they are going to verify employment? I have not told my work yet that I'm leaving and I'm freaking a little over this...

Way is it that all the non-science classes I rock in but Anatomy I struggle in? Makes me wonder if I am going into the right field. I want so very badly to be a nurse. Did anyone else find this class difficult/struggle but made it through? If so what did you do to make it?

Good luck to you Nicolet! When I went through Anatomy, I carried flashcards and copies of whatever systems we were studying in that unit around with me everywhere. I memorized all of the muscles while at the ACL Festival! Hah! Sometimes making up funny mnemonics about different structures helped too. You can do it!
Congrats on getting in! I am ranked number 157, so I am hoping that maybe more people defer and I can get in this spring as well. When you got your acceptance letter, did you get the option of picking a campus or did they just offer you a spot on a certain campus only. Just wondering if I get in later will I get the option to choose my first choice of Round Rock. Thanks!

I was given the option of picking a campus. I picked CEC as my first choice. I hope you get in!

When I ordered my background check for the ACC CNA program a year ago they called my boss. So yes, if yu checked the yes box, they will contact your boss.

Anatomy is a tough class. Mainly because it is the first big science pre-req everyone has to take. It is mainly memorization. I was lucky and got an awesome teacher at ACC Cypress Creek campus. She had experience working in the APD forensics crime labs and she would always tell us a cool story relevant to what we were learning. Flash cards, flash cards, flash cards.
so I sure am ready to get in and get on with this career change!
