Hi Everyone!
I've created this chain for anyone applying to the ASU Post Bacc BSN program for the 2021 cycle.
A little about me: I've completed all the prereqs and just took the TEAS last month (scoring a 93.3% so if you have any questions/are about to take the TEAS soon please let me know!) I'm 28, originally from CA but now living in AZ, and even though nursing will be a 2nd career it's been a dream job of mine since I was 18. Looking forward to meeting you all!

No. They didn’t place me on a waitlist or anything and I have a couple other schools to hear from. I’ve already wasted money at this point on my fingerprint card and all that.
Congrats everyone! I created a FB group for all of us https://www.facebook.com/groups/3318119514923525 ?
Someone had asked about the alternate list on the 2020 thread and this was my response
I don't think we had any alternates this year but the first time I got accepted, I had to drop out that year because of financial reasons which wasn't until mid December (about 4 weeks before the program started), so you never know! Some lucky person got my spot that year!
Congratulations to those that were accepted, but if you didn't make it this time - don't give up!! If nursing is what you want to do - you will find a way, a program, reapply next year, whatever it takes. It doesn't hurt to be prepared and have all your fingerprints, immunizations, CPR ready to go. CPR is good for 2 years I believe. Lots of options out there while waiting for a program that will help you toward your goal -and plenty you can do in the meantime to prepare for becoming a nurse and gain practice and experience working with patients! Anything you do will help you succeed in school once you do get accepted.

Thank you so much!
I decided to still go through and complete all the requirements to retain my alternate status. A lot of things are going in my head right now because, besides spending a lot of money and time and effort on completing requirements, the thought that all of those have a high chance of just going to waste if I don't get a spot, and the fact that I have to check my email everyday to see if somebody dropped out of the program for the next few months.......it's a tough spot.
But, you're right. A lot of things can happen and I just really want to take a risk and take all the chances I can get in hopes of still getting in even if it will be last minute.
Still hoping and praying I get a chance for this cohort. If not, maybe there's a different program that would be better for me.
Hi guys, I'm planning on applying for the next cohort. I was missing 2 courses and didn't want to rush it for this semester and risk messing up my GPA. Excited for you guys, can't wait till next year this time of year when its hopefully myself waiting and getting acceptance letters. Anxious to follow you guys and see how the COVID stuff affects the program. I'm shooting for a 1.8 to be safe since it sounds like low 1.7's didn't make it. Stressful and exciting. Again, congrats to you all. Good luck!!
