Army Reserve OML FY2017

Hello!

I am starting this thread separate from another thread that has been posted on numerous times. I recently heard from my nurse corps recruiter that they would soon be pulling selected people off the OML and commissioning them within the next couple months or so. We are currently half way through the fiscal year and this is apparently when the army starts to make decisions on their current needs to complete the army nurse corps new officer spots for that year. Just a reminder, the OML list is made of officer candidates that were selected to commission but were not offered a spot at that time. As I recall, there were a decent amount of us in this position after the November and December boards! I personally am on the OML list after the December boards for a 66H and am from the Nashville, TN area :)

If you leave a comment below, you will get updates when others post on here! Feel free to share anything you hear from your recruiters, peers, etc.

Good luck to all!

I heard from my recruiter yesterday and he said they are be fixing the computer issue. They are supposed to get back to me within the next couple days so we can schedule my commission. I don't know about anyone else but they changed the sign on bonus from what I was originally told. Not that it changes what I am going to do but it was just interesting.

My temporary recruiter looked into my file two weeks ago.My scroll wasn't submitted until late December. He's predicting late feb early March. I have radio silence since

When I visited with mine, he stated they have been having computer problems also for the last 2 weeks and hopefully we'll hear something "soon".

Here was my experience last FY if this helps.

-placed on OML in December 16.

-selected from OML in mid February of 17.

-commissioned end of April 17

-first drill was June 17.

Hopefully that gives you all an idea. Welcome to the team if you were selected, if you weren't stay positive and continue to make yourself marketable.

Critical care is 45k. Divied over 3 years.

My recruiter is near awesome. We had both served in the infantry. after the Iraq draw down, he went to recruiting and i got out and got my RN/FNP. So I get weekly updates on the current status od the reserve 66p and mine.

Currently the 10 selected army reserve 66p are still waiting on the scrolls. Part of this is due to looming government shutdown and prolly other hurry up and wait factors.

There is still the same number of people on the OML as the beginning of the fiscal year.

So to sum it up literally no change as of December. I am hoping someone got pregnant or cold feet. So i can come off the OML and not have to redo all my paperwork for october!

Wouldn't wish a DUI on anyone, but that happens too. Don't break the lawr. Stay squeaky clean.

I have a question. For the reserve who got selected do you know what kind of unit you were assigned to? Did your recruiters tell you. Will the type of unit change the every day "job" that you're assigned to ?

I knew the unit I would be assigned to before I got selected. It is a combat support hospital. As far as the day to day I am not sure yet.

My recruiter let me know before selection as well.

I'm have a seriously different experience. They told me a post before being selected. But never told me the type of unit. Now I have a list of units names but no other information. He suggesting calling the units and asking for more information. But I haven't scrolled yet nor signed anything no ones talking to me.
